Oh, forgot, they did it the other way round.

Jose has obviously been busy, there are many new advertising signs going up around the ground.
After the cut back in the council grant every cent counts and our club president is leading the way to bridge the funding gap created by local politicians.

SO WHO'S PLAYING FOR MAZARRON FC 2015/16
Due to the outstanding quality and numbers of players trying to force their way into Mazarron FC squad it has been been decided to hold a final tryout this week for those trying to fill those few remaining positions up for grabs. That will be finalised by Thursday night.
I should be then able to post the names and other information about those players who will representing Mazarron FC next season.
The allocation of shirt numbers will take place on Friday at which time I'll update the posting.

The Federation have now published the rules for the 2015/16 Preferente. Details here if you want to practice your Spanish.... www.ffrm.es/documents/10391/47201/Normas+Auton%C3%B3mica+Preferente+15-16And, despite what they said earlier(!), there WILL be play-offs for promotion to the Tercera. As in the Primera last season, the top two teams get automatic promotion and the 3rd to 6th placed will play-off for one more promotion place. However, there is still no confirmation on how they will get the extra two teams into the Tercera to go from 18 to 20 for 2016/17.

MAZARRON SQUAD FOR THE 2015-16 SEASON
Hot in off the press, I have just received the list of players recruited for next season and their playing numbers, I'm sure of course that they will change through out the season, but it does give us a fighting chance identifying the new lads.
I have asked for ages and previous teams played for and positions and await Jose's reply.
Number 13 is, as yet, an un-nominated goal keeper it's down to two but Carrasco, who is also coaching the keepers, may yet fill that vacancy.
1.- Antonio 2.- Juanfran -Totana 3.- Antonio 4.- Alberto 5.- Juanlu 6.- Enrique - Mazarron 7.- Alfonso - Mazarron 8.- Palote 9.- Jose - Alhama 10.- Juanito - Ciudad de Murcia 11.- Hafid - Totana. 12.- Silverio - Balsicas 13.- PORTERO - yet to be decided 14.- Rollón - Mazarron futbol sal (indoor football) 15.- Santi - Mazarron 16.- Mounir - Bala Azul 17.- Juanillo - Mazarron 18.- Juan Andreo (Sam) Capt. - Mazarron 19.- Álex 20.- Cristian 21.- Lorca 22.- Juanma -Alhama 23.- Toni - Balsicas

This week we have taken down to JOSE Cartagena goalkeeper IKER, since he wasn't happy in Mazarrón. Today we have signed goalkeeper PACO from Aguilas this player already played in Mazarrón fc a few years ago, when the MAzarrón played in the third Division, will wear the No. 13.
Jose thinks it's a good signing, and that complete the template, with encouragement from ascending to third this season.

NEWS FROM THE GROUND (Wednesday 9th December 2015)
I met with Jose this morning and the following came up.
I now have 20 El GORDO tickets which I will take to Thursday's meeting of Los Amigos. I asked him to bring some to the Bullense game in case we sell them all. He said that he would bring what he had left but he has only a few left after the 20 that I took.
I obtained 10 season tickets to be offered at €25 for the remaining 10 home games. That works out at €2.50 a game and a saving of €10.50 on the gate price. Again available at the meeting on Thursday.
The first home game of 2016 against La Hoya scheduled for Sunday 3rd January 2016 will now be played on Wednesday 6th January, the day of the Three kings fiesta, as that will be a public holiday and the original date of the 3rd I'd a bit close to the New Year celebrations.
ANNUAL COLLECTION FOR LOCAL NEEDY BY THE CHARITY CARITAS
The football Club are collecting foodstuff rice, pasta, flour etc. for Caritas. Jose says if anyone wishes to donate anything it can be bought to the La Hoya game on the 6th January or you can bring items to any of the Los Amigos meeting when they will be taken to the club.

Number 10, Juanito, has moved to Molina CF.
Pity as he had a good game when he came on at half time at Sangonera.
But on the positive side Jose is in negotiations with a Mazarron FC 'old boy' who will bring much needed control in the midfield, which is a department we sadly lack at the moment.
Plans are also already in place for next season, if we gain promotion, with a possible additional senior 'B' team and the resurrection of a second juvenile side being considered.

CHANGE OF SHIRT NUMBER
With Juanito leaving Willi has now chosen to wear the number 10 shirt for the remainder of the season.
It's his lucky number.

FRIENDLY GAME
As there is no football this weekend Jose has arranged at very short notice a friendly game for Thursday night, here are the details.
MAZARRON FC v CD ALHAMA 'B'
Kick off 8.30pm (20.30)
THURSDAY 28th January
To be played at our home ground the municipal stadium
FREE ENTRY
I believe CD Alahama 'B' ply their trade in the segunda automatica, two division below ours and they are no pushover as this season they have:-
Played 17 Won 13 Drawn 4 Lost 0 They have scored 51 goal and only conceded 9, could be an interesting night.
And as there is nothing on the TV on a Thursday night, I'll see you there.
NEWS FROM THE GROUND.
SUBSTITUTIONS
I was asked about substitutions at our last game, I asked Jose and he confirmed that a team in our league can have 3 substitutes at anytime throughout game, PLUS, at half time a further two substitutions are allowed but only at half time. If you don't use these two substitutes at half time you lose them. Only in Spain.
UNDER 23 YEAR OLD PLAYERS
Teams in our league HAVE TO field at least TWO sub 23 year old players at the start of the game, although they can be replaced after 1 minute if you want to.
This is to encourage teams to bring on young players. Currently Mazarron FC have 5 sub 23 year olds in the squad:-
1 Antonio (goal keeper) 14 Rollon 15 Santi 20 Cristian 23 Jesus
So expect to see at least two of these guys start the game next time out.

FINAL SCORE
Mazarron FC 3 v Alhama 4
A good run out for the lads with numerous regulars missing and a regular flow of substitutions as per the usual friendly games.
We had two trialists on show with a striker called Alex giving an excellent display and scoring twice. The other is called Kelvin who has played in the second division in Equador. A left winger who also had a few good moments.
