AND ANOTHER ONE GOES
David Wagner has left Huddersfield Town as manager by mutual consent with the club bottom of the Premier League.
The German, 47, took over as Terriers boss in November 2015 and led them to promotion to the Premier League in 2016-17 via the Championship play-offs.

CARLISLE GETS A NEW MANAGER (But only for 6 months, for now)
Carlisle United have appointed former Scotland defender Steven Pressley as their new manager.
The 45-year-old succeeds John Sheridan, who resigned earlier this month and became Chesterfield boss.
He has signed a contract until the end of the season, with the option for the club to extend it further.

FORMER FOREST BOSS GOING TO THE PREMIERSHIP?
Former Nottingham Forest manager Aitor Karanka is one of the bookies' favourites for the Huddersfield job.
The Spaniard only left the Reds last Friday, after almost exactly a year in charge at the City Ground.
But he is being touted for a swift return to management at the Premier League club, following the departure of David Wagner.
And with Huddersfield rock bottom of the table I reckon, if he gets the job, that he might be back at the City Ground next season that is unless Martin O’Niell takes Nottingham Forest up.

OR IS IT GOING TO BE JAN SIEWERT
Huddersfield have made an enquiry with Borussia Dortmund for coach Jan Siewert to become their new manager.
Siewert, 36, is coach of Dortmund's second team, a role David Wagner held before joining Huddersfield in 2015.
Wagner left as Terriers manager by mutual consent on Monday.
It is not known whether there has been a deal secured for Siewert, although German publication Bild claim a 300,000 euro (£264,000) compensation fee has been agreed.

Siewert, 36, has left his position as coach of Borussia Dortmund's second team to join the Terriers on a deal until summer 2021.

I WONDERED WHY IT WAS TAKING SO LONG
Paul Scholes is poised to become the new manager of Oldham Athletic following clearance from the English Football League.
The former Manchester United and England midfielder owns a 10 per cent stake in National League promotion chasers Salford City along with five of his former Old Trafford team-mates.
EFL rules prohibit a person holding roles with two clubs at the same time without the prior consent of the board.
But a shareholding of 10 per cent or less in a club is disregarded so long as it is held “purely for investment purposes”, clearing the way for Scholes to take up his first managerial role with Oldham, whom he followed as a boy.
Currently 15th in League Two, Oldham have been in talks with Scholes for weeks and have targeted the 44-year-old to be their new manager since sacking Frankie Bunn in December. Oldham are hoping to make an appointment as early as next week although there are still details to finalise.

NEXT NECK ON THE CHOPPING BLOCK
Maurizio Sarri was in a movie Chelsea watchers have seen before - and the final act does not usually end well for the man sitting in the manager's office at Stamford Bridge.
Sarri had that familiar haunted look, one worn by sacked predecessors such as Luiz Felipe Scolari and Andre Villas-Boas, as he sifted through the carnage of a 6-0 thrashing at the hands of Manchester City - Chelsea's heaviest defeat since the 7-0 loss at Nottingham Forest in April 1991.

I BET SAM ALLARDYCE IS GETTING HIS TRACKSUIT OUT READY FOR THE CALL
Leicester City have sacked manager Claude Puel after 16 months in charge. City were beaten 4-1 at home by Crystal Palace on Saturday in what proved to be Puel's final game.
Puel, 57, leaves the club 12th in the Premier League having lost five of their last six league games.
And to add insult to injury on Saturday he was beaten by a side led by the oldest manager in the premiership history Woy Hodgson.
Come back Claudio Ranieri, all is forgiven.

THE BREADMAN RETURNS
Mark Warburton is in line for a sensational return to football, but not as a manager.
The former Nottingham Forest boss is being lined up as director of football at Bolton Wanderers, once their takeover is complete.
Warburton was sacked by the Forest on New Year’s Eve in 2017, having been in the job for just nine months, and now it looks like the 56-year-old could be back in the Championship operating withing a similar role to the one he held at Brentford,

THREE FRONT RUNNERS FOR THE LEICESTER CITY JOB AND IT’S THE SAME OLD TIRED FACES AGAIN.
Leicester City are set to offer Celtic £6m to appoint Brendan Rodgers as manager after sacking Claude Puel. OR Former Huddersfield boss David Wagner is also among the targets to take over at the King Power Stadium. OR Ex-Everton and Manchester United manager David Moyes has admitted interest in the vacant Foxes post
I say give it to the crisp eating snowflake Gary Lineker, at least it will get him off the TV and would save the BBC and TV licence payers a fortune 🤣
