I think it’s about time to start the manager rumour mill for the upcoming season.
And first in line is my old friends down the road in ‘lamb molesting’ Derby.
They spent big last season but failed to gain promotion through the playoffs 🤣
But now those financial outlays are coming back to haunt them via the FFP rules, in short they over spent and will have to chop back to avoid a transfer embargo.
Obviously the manager isn’t happy with the situation and is looking at new opportunities.
It is reported this morning that Derby are in talks with Stoke City over Rams manager Gary Rowett.
Stoke are seemingly keen to appoint Rowett with a compensation fee of more than £2.25 being discussed.

ARE THE GUNNERS MOVING FROM FRENCH TO SPANISH?
Arsenal are set to appoint Unai Emery as their new manager.
Manchester City assistant manager and former Gunners captain Mikel Arteta was strong favourite to succeed Arsene Wenger.
Emery emerged as the unanimous choice following a recruitment process in which all candidates were spoken to.
The 46-year-old Spaniard is available after leaving Paris St-Germain where he won one Ligue 1 title and four domestic cups in two seasons in charge.
Previously he guided Sevilla to three consecutive Europa League triumphs between 2014 and 2016.

Unai Emery...
Who started his managerial career with Lorca Deportiva in 2005 after having to retire from playing there due to a serious knee injury.
He had a rapid rise to fame....
"Lorca and Almería
As he was seriously injured in the knee while at Lorca in the 2004–05 season, Emery was offered the vacant manager position by the club president, and immediately helped the club achieve promotion to the second division for the first time in its history, while beating top level side Málaga in the Copa del Rey. In his second season, the Murcians' first ever in the second division, the team finished fifth with 69 points, only five points off promotion to the top flight; they suffered relegation in 2007, after the manager's departure.
Emery then moved to Almería in division two, and again helped his squad overachieve: after guiding them to a first ever promotion in 2007, the Andalusian side finished eighth in La Liga in 2007–08. This prompted a move to Valencia, where he succeeded Ronald Koeman as manager." (Wikipedia)

WOULD YOU BELIEVE IT?
With Gary Rowett edging closer to the vacant position at Stoke, Derby could soon be looking for a new manager.
And, would you believe it, former Forest boss Mark Warburton is reasonably short odds to take over at the Rams.

A HORNET TO BECOME A TOFFEE?
Everton are closing in on the appointment of former Watford boss Marco Silva as manager, and the announcement could come this week.
The 40-year-old Portuguese has been the top priority for Everton owner Farhad Moshiri since Sam Allardyce was sacked at the end of the season after six months in charge.
Everton's new director of football Marcel Brands officially takes over on Friday and wants the new manager in place before another summer of change at Goodison Park.
Silva's proposed appointment, which is expected to be on an initial three-year deal, will end a pursuit by Moshiri stretching back to November, when Everton wanted the Portuguese after an outstanding start at Watford.
