THE MAGPIES TO ‘DON’ A NEW MANAGER?
Notts County are to name former AFC Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley as their new manager, BBC Radio Nottingham reports.
Ardley's appointment comes after Harry Kewell was dismissed by the club on 13 November after just 10 weeks in charge.
The 46-year-old was in charge at the Dons for six years, leading them to promotion to League One for the first time in 2016.
He will take over a Notts side who are next-to-bottom of League Two and have not won a league game since 6 October.

GOOD LUCK MATE, YOU’LL NEED IT
Former England defender Sol Campbell has been appointed as manager of Macclesfield Town, the bottom club in the English Football League.
It is the 44-year-old's first managerial position and he has taken charge with the Silkmen five points adrift at the foot of League Two.

CAMBRIDGE SACK THE BOSS
League Two strugglers Cambridge United have sacked head coach Joe Dunne.
The 45-year-old took over the role in May, after three months in charge as interim boss last season.
Cambridge, who lost 2-0 at Crewe in midweek, are 21st in League Two with just five wins from their 20 matches.

I KNOW IT’S BEEN A LONG TIME COMING BUT.........
THE ÜBER FOR MR HUGHES HAS FINALLY ARRIVED
Mark Hughes has been sacked as Southampton manager after eight months in charge.
The Saints, who drew with Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday, are 18th in the table.
Southampton confirmed the move in a statement, adding: "The search for a new manager to take the club forward is already under way."
First-team assistant coach Kelvin Davis will take charge of the team for the game against Tottenham on Wednesday.

THAT DIDN’T TAKE LONG (you would almost think that he was already in place before ‘Sparky’ got the bullet.)
Former RB Leipzig boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has been been appointed Southampton manager on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
Southampton sacked Mark Hughes on Monday, eight months after he took charge of the club, with Saints 18th in the Premier League table.
Austrian Hasenhuttl, 51, has been out of work since leaving Leipzig in May, ending a two-year spell at the club.

JOSE HITS THE THIRD SEASON SYNDROME AGAIN
Manchester United have sack Jose and will install a ‘caretaker’ manager until the end of the season.
This decision will cost Man United £12 in compensation payments to Jose. £12 for failure, where do I sign on?
I think ZZ will be in the running come next summer.
As a footnote did you know that the David Moyes contract has yet to expire? So how many managers are Man U going to be paying for, Jose, Moyes, the caretaker and the new guy. Man U season ticket holders must be wondering where their money is going, certainly not on players, it’s a circus.

WILL IT BE OLE, FOR NOW?
Manchester United appear to have confirmed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as interim manager at Old Trafford.
There has been no official announcement that the Norwegian is taking over from Jose Mourinho, who was sacked earlier on Tuesday.
But a page on the club's website referred to their ex-striker as "our interim manager". It was later deleted.
*I can remember that he once came on as a second half substitute against Forest, and scored 4 goals, never have liked him since 🤣*
