Nearly missed the big news from yesterday.................
The New Saints FC 1-2 Europa FC
The new season has now officially STARTED!
First round eliminators of the Champions League.
Europa FC are this year's entry from Gibraltar. And they came away from OSWESTRY with a 2-1 win.
Europa FC pipped last season's league champions, Lincoln Red Imps, by one point to end Lincoln's FOURTEEN year run of titles in the Gibraltar First Division - there are other divisions!
The New Saints of Oswestry Town & Llansantffraid Football Club, also known as the New Saints or TNS is a full-time-professional Welsh football club representing Llansantffraid-ym-Mechain in Powys, Wales, who have won the Welsh League for the last six years - despite their ground being in England!

ROCK APE MOVES TO GODS COUNTRY
Notts County have signed Gibraltar international Liam Walker.
The 29-year-old midfielder has been offered a deal at Meadow Lane after impressing Magpies boss Kevin Nolan during a pre-season trial, playing in friendlies against Nottingham Forest and Wigan Athletic.
Walker won the Gibraltar Premier Division title with Europa FC last season, scoring 15 goals, and has 22 international caps.

Is this time for the lads to put a few goals away?
Gibraltar (rank 206) vs Estonia (rank 84) tonight, KO: 18:00 (Spanish) at the Estadio Algarve in Faro.
Estonia's top player and captain is Ragnar Klavan of Liverpool (no, me neither).

AND I CAN’T GO😤
I have a cardiologist appointment on Friday so can’t make it this year, what a pity.
Nottingham Forest will kick-off their pre-season preparations in earnest this evening, with their first friendly of the summer – against Gibraltar side Lincoln Red Imps.
The Reds will take on the side who shocked Europe when they beat Celtic in the Champions League two years ago, at the Marbella Football Centre.
Karanka’s first pre-season as manager will continue with a game against Real Betis on Saturday evening, down the coast in Algeciras, where they will take on the side who finished sixth in La Liga last season, at the Estadio Nuevo Mirador, at 8pm.
And, before the Reds fly home on Monday afternoon, they will face one final test, in the form of a game against the local team, Malaga, who will be looking to bounce back from their relegation from the Spanish top flight last season, under new manager Ramon Muniz.
