But 'possession' was 84/16! Nevertheless, they did score their second goal of the campaign. Trouble is......that makes it two OGs!

Policeman Lee Casciaro scores Gibraltar's first competitive international goal, but they still go down 6-1 to Scotland. Stephen Fletcher (of Sunderland) scores Scotland's first hat-trick since 1969!

SHOCKING
Gibraltar not in the World Cup draw. A member of EUFA but not FIFA.
I see the hand of Blatter in this, although it is a off shore tax haven, hmmmm, he missed out on a trick there.
Boys from the rock miss out again.

IT'S THE BIG ONE
Gibraltar v Republic of Ireland
Match details
UEFA EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFYING
Date: Friday, 4th September Kick off: 19:45 Venue: Estádio Algarve
Republic of Ireland assistant boss Roy Keane has told the team to treat the Euro 2016 game with Gibraltar as a cup-tie ripe for a giant-killing. The Republic hammered the Group D minnows 7-0 in Dublin last October and Keane has warned against complacency. "If we take our eye off the ball, we could slip up, so first and foremost, we have to win the game," he said. The Republic, who sit fourth in the group after six games, take on Georgia at the Aviva Stadium three days later. Keane knows six points from the two matches is a must if they are to retain hope of qualification. He added: "You want to win the game of football, it's in our mindset that we can score one goal, two, seven, whatever it might be. "For us as staff, we obviously want to see goals, but that's up to the players to go out and perform and get the right result, take some momentum into the home game. "The biggest danger - you sometimes see it in English cup games - if you take your eye off the ball or underestimate somebody, then you are in trouble. "Obviously we are hoping that other teams might slip up but, first and foremost, we have got to do our own jobs." Keane and manager Martin O'Neill worked with a near-full complement of players in training on Wednesday, with only defender Paul McShane sitting out because of minor discomfort in his hip and back.

Gibraltar 0 v Republic of Ireland 4
The boys from the rock held it to 0-1 at half time but a penalty did for them, but a god showing for a squad of amatures and part timers.

READ AND WEEP WAYNE ROONEY
England aren't the only footballing nation to have a new record goalscorer.
Bristol Rovers midfielder Jake Gosling set a new mark for Gibraltar on Monday - his goal in their 8-1 defeat by Poland was his SECOND at international level.
Gibraltar were only granted Uefa membership a couple of years ago and have played just 14 international matches, hence their modest goal tally.
