AT LAST A TEAM GIBRALTAR COULD BEAT
Jersey are to make a bid to join Uefa and play international football.
The Channel Island, which has a population of around 100,000, is hoping to follow Gibraltar and take part in European Championship qualifiers.
Jersey is currently classed as a county by the English Football Association.
Under Uefa rules, non-sovereign nations cannot be members, but the Jersey FA said earlier this summer it was hopeful of changing the European football governing body's mind.

LATEST GAME
GIBRALTAR v LATVIA
8pm 29th March,
Come on you rock apes, time for a win.
But if they get injured look who's coming home?
FORMER Chelsea doctor Eva Carneiro has said she will QUIT football for good after her nightmare ordeal under ex-boss Jose Mourinho.
Carneiro sued the club and resigned after she was banished from match-day staff and called "naive" and "impulsive" by Mourinho.
She has since been fighting her case in a court tribunal and engaged in a public feud with the Special One, who was sacked and replaced by Guus Hiddink in November.
But Carneiro confirmed she wants nothing to do with football anymore after her ordeal, and will retreat to Gibraltar to work at a medical clinic.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FIRST LEG
Lincoln Red Imps 1-0 Celtic
One of the darkest days in Celtic's history as they go down to the part-timers Lincoln Red Imps of Gibraltar.
So much hope and hype surrounded the appointment of Brendan Rodgers, and while it is still far too early to judge the manager, he will have some explaining to do after such a miserable performance and result.
Read that again:
Lincoln Red Imps 1-0 Celtic
WELL YOU WOULD SAY THIS WOULDN'T YOU?
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers insisted "there's no embarrassment" after his side lost 1-0 to Lincoln Red Imps of Gibraltar in the Champions League second qualifying round.
Lee Casciaro's goal for the part-timers condemned Celtic to arguably their worst ever defeat in Rodgers' first competitive game in charge.
"I'm not really [shocked]. I know these results can happen," said Rodgers.
"We stay calm. We need a performance next week."

Here we go then
Big game of the night....Estonia versus Gibraltar.
The Estonian anthem must be the longest in the world!
And here we have a Spanish (!!!) commentary.
12 mins...and Gibraltar have the ball in the Estonian net...BUT it's off-side. Great move though.
Half-time 0-0.
Oh dear...just 2 mins gone after half-time and Estonia do a Spain and run the ball right through the Gib. defence. 1-0.
Looks like Gib. may be a 45 mins team. 51 mins and a ball over the top has the defender falling over leaving a simple lob over the 'keeper to make it 2-0.
70 mins - the decline continues. Simple tap in from a corner. Again the defence is very poor. 3-0.
88 mins....horrible defending. Running everywhere but where the ball was. Simple shot from the edge of the box makes it 4-0.
And that's that. Better luck next time lads.
Oh dear, that's Monday at home to Belgium!

GIBRALTAR 0 BELGIUM 6
Belgium striker Christian Benteke has scored the fastest ever goal in a World Cup qualifier – breaking a 23-year record Nottingham Forest legend Stuart Pearce had a key role in.
It was Pearce's short back pass to David Seaman which allowed San Marino's David Gaultieri to score in 8.3 seconds in 1993.
England went on to win the World Cup qualifier 7-1, but it was an unhappy memory in Pearce's career as they missed out on USA 1994.
That goal has been surpassed though as Benteke scored against Gibraltar on Monday night, in a time that has been officially recorded at 8.1 seconds, just 0.2 seconds faster.
