HAPPY NEW YEAR, OH BYE THE WAY YOUR SACKED
John Sheridan has left his position as manager of Notts County after just seven months at the club.
The 52-year-old joined the Magpies in May last year, after leaving Oldham Athletic, but the team have struggled for results this season.
The club this evening released a statement saying: "Notts County FC can confirm that John Sheridan is to leave his position as manager with immediate effect.
"The club will be making no further statement at this time."

I'LL GIVE HIM UNTIL THE END OF THE SEASON WHEN THE SWANS WILL BE RELEGATED AND 'SIMO' GETS THE BULLET, AGAIN! HE SHOULD HAVE STAYED IN GERMANY AS A NUMBER 2
Bayern Munich assistant Paul Clement has agreed a two-and-a-half year deal to become Swansea City's next manager.
The German side allowed the 44-year-old speak to the Swans, who are bottom of the Premier League.

The German side allowed the 44-year-old speak to the Swans, who are bottom of the Premier League. Not now they're not! Big Sam fails to win his third game at Palace and Swansea's win takes them above Hull......who have parted company with Mike Phelan!

HE'S BEEN TO 'HULL AND BACK' FOR THE TEAM AND STILL GETS THE SACK
Premier League strugglers Hull City have sacked head coach Mike Phelan.
Phelan, 54, took over as caretaker manager following Steve Bruce's departure in the summer, becoming a permanent appointment in October.
But with City in the relegation zone, picking up three points from their last nine games, the club announced they had "parted company" with Phelan.

AND CAN THE NEXT PERSON STEP FORWARD ONTO THE 'MANAGEMENT CONVEYOR BELT' PLEASE
The potential new owners of Nottingham Forest are already understood to have sounded out Gary Rowett over the prospect of him becoming the Reds next manager.
John Jay Moores, the head of the group looking to secure an 80 percent stake in the Championship club, has flown over to London in an effort to get the takeover deal over the finishing line before the weekend.
Moores, the former owner of the San Diego Padres, has had personnel in place to take on key roles in at the City Ground – thought to include a chief executive, financial director and a director of football – for some time.
But it now appears that the Reds' incoming new owner has already begun work on securing a potential new manager as well.

TWO IN, ONE OUT
Former Notts County boss John Sheridan has made a swift return to management.
After being sacked by the Magpies on January 2, after a ninth straight defeat in League Two, he has been reappointed as manager at Oldham Athletic – the club he left last summer to take charge at Meadow Lane.
The Latics, who are rock bottom in League One, have sacked Stephen Robinson to make way for Sheridan's return to Boundary Park.
MEANWHILE
Kevin Nolan is appointed as Notts County's new boss, a day after Alan Hardy completed his takeover of the League Two club.
