SUNDERLAND BOUND?
Steve Bruce has left his role as manager of newly-promoted Premier League club Hull City.
The 55-year-old, who did not take training on Friday, had said earlier this summer he was uncertain of his future at Hull, who are up for sale.
A breakdown in his relationship with vice-chairman Ehab Allam contributed to his departure.

YOU MUST BE HAVING A LAUGH. GREAT COACH, RUBBISH MANAGER
Former Nottingham Forest manager Steve McClaren is looking for a return to the Premier League with Hull City.
It has been reported McClaren, a former Hull player, has applied to replace Steve Bruce, who resigned last week.
McClaren has been out of work since March after being sacked by Newcastle, who were relegated from the top flight.
Promoted Hull are not short of applications despite Bruce quitting over a lack of signings at the KC Stadium.
If he gets it, which he won't as it has Roy Keane written al over it, Hull will be back in the championship next season. They will go to 'Hull and back' with this 'Wally with a brolly' who is looking for another failure on his CV.

THEY SAY ONE THING TO THE MANAGERS FACE THEN SACK HIM!!!!
The Molineux side were taken over by Chinese conglomerate Fosun International last week.
It was understood on Monday that Jackett, 54, would be retained by the club and given significant funding.
However, Wolves director Jeff Shi told the club website: "I would like to sincerely thank Kenny for everything he's done for the club over the last three years."
Shi had previously said on Monday he was "very happy to work with Jackett" and they had agreed the club's playing squad was too small.
