I didn't think that the club president would get a home game wrong and now thankfully we will be able to see both Juvenile and senior games with a bit of luck.

FINAL SCORE 16/1/16
MAZARRÓN FC 6 v CD MINERA 1
At the start of this game Mazarron were in 2nd place in the league whilst Minera wallowed 4th from bottom and looking at our lads warming up all our 'big names' were starting the game, so no problems then?
But I don't know what was wrong with the lads even though they had almost all the possession and played most of the first half in the Minera half Mazarron found it difficult to string two passes together, they were always second to the loose ball and ball control was shocking.
Mazarron have a central defender who is ternacious player, we call him Billy Bremner, (his real name is Eric, honestly, Eric) as he is like the terrier just like the ex Leeds player. He breaks up attacks, sets our forwards on their way and never makes mistakes at the back, but today, oh dear, on one of the visitors only two attacks on the Mazarron goal he completely missed a long ball forward, playing their striker on side who collected the ball rounded the stranded Mazarron keeper to slot home.
0-1
The remainder of the first half continued in the same vein and the lads trooped off 0-1 down and with their tails between their legs.
Obviously words were spoken as straight from the kick off Mazarron showed more determination an upped their game.
And it was Captain Andreo was, leading from the front, buried the ball from an excellent cross by my man of the match Steven on the right wing.
1-1
Now Minera parked the bus mid way in their own half and only looking to catch Mazarron on the break. There was a lot of debatable tackles going in by the visitors and they took a fancy to the Mazarron shirts often trying to rip them of our lads back much to the frustration of the ref. And it was following one these cynical fouls that the ref had enough and reduced Minera to 10 men.
Then the goal avalanche started. First Billy redeemed himself from his earlier mistake with a power shot from the edge of the box making it 2-1 with goals from Steven, two from our number 9 and a sixth from a midfielder. It just rained goals.
Final score Mazarron FC 6 CD Minerva 1
Goodness know what the score would have been if Mazarron had played for the full 90 minutes

FINAL SCORE
MAZARRON FC 2 v CIUDAD JARDIN 0
A hard won game against a determined a defensively minded Ciudad Jardin side by a Mazarron side that were on the front foot for he majority of the match.
One goal in each half for Mazarron, the first from an excellent move down the left wing which was crossed deep and the ball crashed home by Pablo.
The second in the second half came from a penalty committed against Andreo who was hit in the face with a flaying arm in the area, he got up to smash the ball into the back of the net with a hard straight shot straight down the middle.
So Mazarron keep the pressure on Santa Anna at the top.
It's just a pity that only 4 'Brits' were there to witness the future of our football team.

NEXT GAME MAZARRÓN FC v CD MEDITERRANEO
Scheduled for Saturday 6th or Sunday 7th February 2016
My money is on Saturday but we wait for the Federation to publish the timings, who I'm guessing are waiting for Jose to send details.
Our lads travelled to Mediterraneo last September and came away with 3 points following a 0-1 win.
Mazarron are currently 2nd and our visitors are back in 6th place.

FINAL SCORE
Mazarron FC 3 CD Mediterráneo 3
Mazarron denied at the death after coming back from 1-3 down.
Today our excellent juvenile side had a number of key players who were not their usual effervescent best, for some reason Andreo, Domingo and speedy winger Steven were not up to the very high standards that they had set throughout the season, and it told.
CD Mediterráneo were set up with in a 4-4-2 system but with the emphasis on defence but to counter this they had two excellent fast forwards who's job was to exploit the hole between the last defender and Mazarrons goal keeper and it only took 5 minutes before a defence splitting ball found one of these attackers one on one with our isolated keeper and he slotted the ball home.
0-1
For the remainder of the first half we were all expecting our boys to wake up, press and take a grip on the game, but it just didn't happen. Missed passes, sloppy crosses and woeful build up play kept the game as it stood, that was until just before half time when from one of Mazarrons numerous corner David Moreno Sanchez ghosted in from the back post with a sublime headed goal.
1-1
We expected that after a half time rollicking from the manager Mazarron would start to play as we all know that they can, but they didn't. The second half continued in the same vein as the first with CD Mediterráneo defending stalwartly and catching the home defence out on numerous occasions. Their second goal came from a bit of ping pong in the Mazarron goal mouth and at the third attempt the ball was forced home.
1-2
Now Mazarron started chasing the game throwing more and more players forward leaving large gaps at the back and following Andreo losing the ball in the CD Mediterráneo area a long punt up field again found an attacking forward baring down on an isolated home keeper and he made no mistake with his shot.
1-3
This game was slipping away from Mazarron and it took a piece of individual brilliance by Stalin to bring the home side back into contention. He collected the ball on the right wing beat two defenders and from the touch line sent in a swerving, dipping shot, almost Vardy like, passed the stranded CD Mediterráneo keeper, brilliant just brilliant.
2-3
Mazarron now woke up and following a number of substitutions pressed, pressed and pressed again and it as from this pressure that the equalising goal came. A ball in from the left wing bounced around the goal mouth and I counted three saves and a ricochet off the right hand post before at the fifth attempt the ball was forced over the line by SERGIO RAMALLO CARRASCO
3-3
It was now CD Mediterráneo turn to have their backs to the wall and all the usual time wasting antics were used and a number of away played were booked as Mazarron pressed for the winner. On 93 minutes Mazarron thought they had done it. Following a foul on the left wing the ball was floated over and was met perfectly for the back of the net to bulge but all celebrations were quickly ended when the linesman's flag went up for an offside.
Final score Mazarrón FC 3 v CD Mediterráneo 3
The officials had a rough reception as they left the pitch from the home supporters but in all honesty the four ex pats watching thought that he had had a good game.
With league leaders Santa Anna winning 6-2 at home the gap between them and second placed Mazarron now opens up to 4 points.

NEXT GAME
EF TORRE PACHECO v MAZARRÓN FC
4pm (16.00) Saturday 13th February
This is a top(ish) of the table clash with second placed Mazarron, which is the last automatic promotion place, taking on 5th placed EF Torre Pacheco.
Mazarron disappointedly dropped two home points in last weekends 3-3 draw whilst Torre Pacheco won 0-1 away at the forth placed side.
These are the sort of gams that Mazarron must win if they are to close the gap on top side Santa Ana and I hope that Mazarron top players are on song next weekend after a poor display last time out.

FINAL SCORE
EF Torre Pacheco 0 MAZARRON FC 1
And with Santa Ana only drawing Mazarron FC move to within 2 points of the top spot.
HOLD YOUR HORSES
The FFRM now has the game suspended and removed the score line, I'll keep an eye on this one.
I've just spoke to Jose who was at the game and he said that one of the Torre Pacheco players had a heart problem after 20 minutes and was taken to hospital.
Further updates as I get them.

Their Twitter feed confused me for a while. The player's name is Willi/Willy!
Apparently, one of the fathers was a doctor....
SPORTS CENTER The rapid intervention of the father of a player EF Torrepacheco avoids another possible case of sudden death Saturday 02.13.2016 20:03 | Comments Rapid assistance the father of a player who is a doctor Torrepacheco EF team 1st junior category with the help of several mothers with health experecience and rapid arrival of 112 were able to save the life of Willy player Torrepacheco after suffering several cardiorespiratory stops and fall to the ground, thus avoiding a possible sudden death, like the tragedy of September 2014 in Espinardo. After the arrival of the 112 and the player induced to a coma, he was transferred to The Arrixaca, has awakened and is stable. Important it is that every football or any sports facility, has defibrillator to save lives, if this evening had it not been for the presence of medical and sanitary possibly have ended in another tragedy. The game that was played between EF and Mazarrón Torrepacheco was immediately suspended. Since we expect the speedy recovery of the boy, and raise awareness in sports venues that sport is practiced should have one defibrillator.
EDIT:....another report lists his age as 18!
