FINAL SCORE
MAZARRÓN FC juveniles 4 v EMF FUENTE ALAMO juveniles 0
Revenge is so sweet.
On a sunny but chilly day Mazarron looked to revenge one of their only two defeats this season and they did it in style.
The first half was all about containing any threat from their opponents then to take control of the match and this is precisely what they did. During a five minute period Fuente Alamo managed to hit the woodwork of the Mazarron goal and also brought a fine save from the home keeper but besides these two incidents the visitors rarely got out of their own half.
The only goal of the firs half was was scored by the excellent Stalin who pounced on a shot from the ever industrious Domingo. After the ball came back off the post Stalin was perfectly placed to slot it home. 1-0
The second half was just a rout with the Fuente Alamo goal being peppered for 45 minutes.
Goal number two came curtesy of when Stalin skinned their number two, who had the stature of a dumper truck, he left him for dead on the touch line floated the ball over to Steven, who had come on as a second half substitute, he laid the ball on a plate for Domingo who smashed the ball home. 2-0
The third start from the ever dependable Eric as always at the heart of Mazarrons defence. He dispossessed a Fuente winger and delivered a beautiful ball to the feet of Steven who literally burst into the opponent box and almost burst their net scoring. 3-0
The final goal was scored by Andreo. From a Fuente free kick in Mazarrons half the ball was cleared by the home sides defence to Andreo on the half way line, and I kid you not he beat 4 defenders and then the keeper to score, just brilliant.
The remainder of the game Mazarron toyed with their visitors hitting both the post and crossbar Spurred numerous goal scoring opportunities and even the last action of the match was when captain Pedro came up from the defence and forced the Fuente Alamo keeper into a finger tip save for what must have for the 15th Mazarron corner of the second half but the final whistle was blown before it could be taken saving our guests further humiliation.
Final score
MAZARRÓN FC juveniles 4 v EMF FUENTE ALAMO juveniles 0
A rout.

In one other game today, third-placed Mar Menor lost at home! Meaning Mazarrón are now SEVEN points clear of them with the Torre Pacheco game in hand. Top 2 are promoted.
EDIT SUNDAY.......Surprise, surprise! Top placed Santa Ana lost for the first time today. At home to 11th placed Roldan. So Mazarrón are now only 2 points behind them with a game in hand.

NEXT GAME
5pm (17.00)
Saturday 5th March 2016 MAZARRÓN FC v AD VISTALEGRE MURCIA
Mazarron FC need to get back to winning ways if they are to maintain their push for promotion following last weekends 1-0 defeat, and it won't be an easy task as they take on another top team next weekend.
7 points and 2 places seperate second placed Mazarron from their visitors who sit in fourth place in the league with just the top two automatically being promoted.
The sides last met in October when Mazarron won 0-1 and a repeat of that score line would go somewhat to get over last weekends disappointing result.

MAZARRON FC 5 VISTALEGRE MURCIA 1
Although the score line looks impressive this was not the one sided rout that the final score implies.
Vistalegre Murcia more than held their own until the last 20 minutes when their heads went down following the last two goals being scored. Indeed the visitor could have easily been two goals ahead in the first 10 minutes if it wasn't for good goalkeeping by the home keeper and bad shooting boots fitted to our visitors strikers.
Mazarron just couldn't get out of their own half for long periods and the first goal came against the run of play. A long pun up field was cleared for a corner by a visiting defender. A beautiful floated cross found Steven at the far post and he hit a waist high ball on the full volley into the top right hand corner. It was a net buster which in the past would have sailed over the trees or screwed off his boot but not this time, it was a pearl of a shot and put Mazarron into a surprise lead..
1-0
Mazarron extended their lead following constant pressure from Murcia and again it was a dead ball situation which lead to the second goal. A foul against one of our lads was committed at the edge of the box and from that free kick Andreo rose at the far post and he delivered a thunderous header past the keeper who's heels were stuck to the ground.
2-0
Five minutes later a good through ball found defensive general Eric bearing down on goal and when one on one with the keeper he was upended, Penalty, and surely a red card for the keeper? No he didn't even get booked! Up steps Andreo, GOAL!
3-0
Just before half time Murcia pulled one back, and on the flow of the game a fair half time score line of 3-1
Again the second half started with Mazarron defending deep with Murcia now chasing the game which obviously lead to holes appearing all over their defence as they replaced defenders for midfield/strikers.
For most of the second half Mazarron just contained their opponents without stretching themselves with the Murcia boys becoming more and more frustrated which lead to a number of niggly fouls and the yellow card total for the visitors mounting.
As we reached the last 20 minutes Mazarron threw on another striker in the shape of Stalin and the home side dominated from then on in.
Alfonso found himself in acres of space following a nice ball from Andreo who has dropped into an influential midfield role following Stalins appearance and Alfonso didn't waste his opportunity and slid the ball home.
4-1
Mazarron saved the best for the finale when Domingo, who again had an excellent game, picked up a ball on the left wing when it looked certain to go out for a throw. He proceeded to beat two defenders before pushing the ball to Stalin who crossed to the far post where Samuel was waiting to guide the ball home.
5-1
This was the last of the action with the whistle being blown shortly afterwards.
There is no doubt that this was a fine win and we must remember that these are young lads who will make mistakes as they learn their trade and I'm sure that they will progress under their excellent coach Nacho but Murcia were no push overs and it took a lot of hard work to get this result.
Perhaps the importance of this score line is found in that top team Santa Ana lost 3-4 at home against the 11th placed side so our boys have just put themselves joint top with a game in hand.

NEXT AWAY GAME
6.15pm (18.15) Saturday 12th March 2016 CA PULPILEÑO v MAZARRÓN FC
Joint top of the table Mazarron FC travel to Pulpi to take on 8th placed CA Pulpieño 'A' looking to consolidate that table topping position.
After a great result last weekend Mazarron FC will be looking to replicate the 6-1 home win against Pulpi in early November last year.

A good 3 points for the Juveniles...
CA PULPILEÑO 1-2 MAZARRÓN FC
Goals by:
ANDREO GOMEZ ANTONIO (15')
ACOSTA GARCIA ALEJANDRO (42')
But I'm afraid your maths is a bit out Steve. Santa Ana's win today keeps them 2 points ahead of our boys. Although we do have the Torre Pacheco game 'in hand'.

NEXT AWAY GAME, on the road again 12.00 Sunday 20th March 2016 LORCA CFB v MAZARRÓN FC
Following last weekends fine away win Mazarron juveniles are away on their travels to Lorca CFB.
Currently Mazarron are second in a the league, just two points behind Santa Ana but with a game in hand.
Meanwhile Lorca occupy the final relegation place in 15th position and will be desperate for the points. So an easy game on paper but.......
When the two sides met in early November of last year the final score was a 3-3 draw. Since then Mazarron have greatly improved whilst Lorca have gone the other way.
Mazarron FC have two players suspended for this game including impact striker Stalin.

While we wait for second in the league Mazarrons result there's a bit of good news in that the third placed side, Mar Menor lost to the fourth placed side Murcia.
So even before today's result Mazarron maintain their six point lead and remain in one of the two automatic promotion places with 10 games to go.
