Spanish top flight club Granada sack their manager Abel Resino with just four games of the season remaining.
Resino won just two of 16 games since taking over at Granada for a second time in January, a run leaves the club second-bottom in the table and six points from safety.

Took some time but it's now confirmed
Carlo Ancelotti has been sacked as manager of Real Madrid after two seasons in charge of the Spanish club.
The Italian, 55, led Real to victory in the Spanish Cup before claiming the club's 10th European Cup last season.

Unai Emery - a one-man merry-go-round!
Tuesday.....to replace Benitez at Napoli. Thursday....catching a private plane to London to talk to West Ham. Friday......tying-up loose ends on a new contract with Sevilla!
Who can blame him? Winning the Europa League takes Champions League football to Seville. He wouldn't get that at West Ham!
EDIT:.....confirmed 2-year deal at Sevilla.

José Miguel Campos Rodríguez
Last season manager at La Hoya Lorca and just managed to keep them in Segunda B. Has now moved to manage Granada FC 'B' team who were in the same division but finished in 5th place, just missing out on a playoff place for promotion.
Why should we be interested? Because he is a mazarronero. Born in the town. No involvement with Mazarron FC but did manage Bala Azul for a while in the early 2000s.

And, to keep the Mazarrón link with La Hoya going, the new man in the broccoli is one Francisco García Ibañez - Paco Garcia! Remember him? Those of a certain age will recall him as Mazarrón's manager in the dying days of the San Antonio era. In 2008/09, with Mazarrón back in the Tercera after one glorious/sad (delete as applicable) season in the Segunda B, he replaced Machuca and managed to get the club to a respectable 6th by the end of the season. Since then, he's been at Mar Menor, Bala Azul and, last season, Real Murcia Imperial where he took them, unsuccessfully, into the Tercera/2B playoffs. At last, he has the chance to show if he can handle life in the Segunda B.

Espanyol sack manager
Espanyol have sacked coach Sergio Gonzalez after Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Celta Vigo left the Barcelona-based club hovering three points above the La Liga relegation places.
Gonzalez, 39, a former Espanyol and Deportivo La Coruna player, was in his second season in charge after he was promoted from B team manager and led the club to a 10th-place finish in Spain's top flight in his debut campaign.

Ah....yet more local-ish interest! Replaced by Constantin Gâlcă, a Romanian international who played in Spain (including for Espanyol) and finished his playing career at Almeria in 2006. Then managed Almeria B for a season before returning to Romania. Managed the U17s and Steaua Bucharest where he won the league and cup double in his first season..

COULD IT HAPPEN TODAY?
Spanish media are speculating that Rafa Benitez's time as manager of Real Madrid could be at an end with the former Liverpool and Chelsea boss set to meet with club president Florentino Perez later on Monday.

AND TWO HOURS LATER
RAFAEL BENITEZ has been sacked as Real Madrid manager — and will be replaced by Zinedine Zidane.
Benitez was summoned to see president Florentino Perez this afternoon, less than 24 hours after he could only steer his side to a 2-2 draw with Gary Neville’s struggling Valencia.
The result leaves Real third in La Liga, four points adrift of local rivals Atletico and two behind Barcelona who also have a game in hand.
Remember where you heard it first...... Mazarron FC forum.
