Now here's something you don't hear of too often! Manager gets the team promoted and then resigns!
Those of you who travelled to Alumbres last October will probably remember the SFC Minerva manager/trainer/'mister' running up and down the touchline in front of us having been banned from the dug-out on the other side of the pitch for some sort of 'previous'.
He's obviously done a good job there though, getting them into the playoffs last season and automatic promotion this year.
Although their tactics in the return game at Mazarron may reflect some of his mentality.
Apparently, he's decided he's taken them as far as he can and is leaving the Tercera challenge to someone else.

BARCA GET A NEW BOSS
Barcelona are expected to name former Athletic Bilbao boss Ernesto Valverde as their new head coach on Monday.
Former Barca forward Valverde announced last week that he was leaving Athletic after four years in charge.
The 53-year-old will replace Luis Enrique, who revealed in March that he would leave the club at the end of his three-year contract.

What a way to try to put yourself out of a job..................
Valencia manager Marcelino, 52, was driving home on Christmas Eve when his car collided with a wild boar on the motorway.
The incident took place between Logrono and Bilbao in northern Spain.

AND SOMEONE WHO IS STAYING
Julen Lopetegui, who was linked with the Forest job before Philippe Montanier was appointed, has signed a contract extension to remain as Spain coach for another two years.
The 51-year-old took charge in 2016 and his new deal ties him to La Roja until 2020, it was announced at a press conference on Tuesday.
Luis Rubiales, the new president of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), said: “We were clear on this, we couldn’t allow Julen and his team to get away. The professional admiration and respect for him is huge.
“The work Lopetegui has done in these two years is brilliant.
“It took us five minutes to finalise things. It was very easy. It’s the best for the national team.”

Lopetegui previously managed Porto for two years, before taking over at the Spanish national team in July 2016. The 51-year-old will take up the position after the World Cup, which begins on 14 June." (BBC Sport)

A BIT PETULANT OF THE SPANISH FA
Spain have sacked head coach Julen Lopetegui after he was named the new Real Madrid boss, two days before their opening World Cup match with Portugal.
Real Madrid announced on Tuesday that Lopetegui would succeed Zinedine Zidane at the Bernabeu on a three-year deal.
The Spanish football federation (RFEF) said it had dismissed the 51-year-old because the negotiation occurred "without any information to the RFEF".

NLEAVE OUR BOSS ALONE!
A little line in the Spanish media today (4.7.18) suggests the national team are considering a move for Nottingham Forest manager, Aitor Karanka.
Spain sacked manager Julen Lopetegui on the eve of the World Cup after he agreed to take over at Real Madrid. Mundo Deportivo suggest Karanka along with Luis Enrique and Quique Sánchez Flores are in the frame for the job.
Spain were managed by in Russia by Fernando Hierro, who was the man that appointed Karanka to the Spanish Under-15 side before going on to move to Real Madrid. The Spanish were removed from the World Cup after losing in the Last 16 stage on penalties to the hosts.
A certain Samuel Allardyce is currently unemployed at the moment and would fit the bill, get rid of ‘tiki tacky’ football, just defend an hoof the ball route one style.

IF IT WASN’T FOR BAD LUCK HE’D HAVE NO LUCK AT ALL
Athletic Bilbao have sacked head coach Eduardo Berizzo after eight months in charge.
The Argentine, 49, was named Athletic manager in May, having been sacked by Sevilla in December 2017 just a week after he returned from cancer surgery.
Athletic are 18th in La Liga having not won since the opening day of the season.

HE DIDN’T LAST LONG DID HE?
Struggling La Liga side Villarreal have sacked coach Luis Garcia Plaza after nine games in charge, the club said on Tuesday.
Garcia was only appointed by Villarreal, who have not won in La Liga since Nov. 25, last month after Javi Calleja was sacked.
However the 46-year-old managed one win in his nine games – a 2-0 Europa League victory over Spartak Moscow.
Copa del Rey elimination by Espanyol followed, while no wins in the last six Liga games has seen the 2006 Champions League semi-finalists slip to 19th, four points from the safety zone.
The club have not yet announced who will take over but their third coach this season faces an uphill struggle to keep Villarreal in the top division, while they face a tricky tie against Sporting in the Europa League last 32 next month.
