TROTTERS GET NEW OWNERS AND THEY GET A MASSIVE DEBT TO DEAL WITH
The Sports Shield consortium have completed their £7.5m takeover of Championship club Bolton Wanderers.
Ex-Wanderers striker Dean Holdsworth will join the board of directors, while former owner Eddie Davies will become honorary president of the club.
A winding-up petition against Bolton was adjourned at the High Court on Monday to give Holdsworth's group more time to complete the deal.
Bolton, who are £172.9m in debt, are currently bottom of the Championship.

WHEN YOU THOUGHT THAT COULDN'T ANY WORSE.
Aston Villa have revealed that they made a pre-tax loss of £27.8m in the financial year to 31 May 2015. That is big increase on a loss of £3.96 million in 2013-14.
Their wage bill increased by £14.4m to £83.7m.
Villa are bottom of the Premier League table, nine points from safety.
Big increase in players wages, they must have a first class squad, not.

THE RATS ARE DESERTING THE CHAMPIONSHIP BOUND ASTON VILLA SHIP
Aston Villa chief executive Tom Fox has stepped down with immediate effect.
He worked closely with owner Randy Lerner, who put the club up for sale last May but is yet to find a buyer.
The resignation of American Fox after 18 months at the Premier League's bottom club follows the departure of sporting director Hendrik Almstadt and three new appointments to the board.
Fox said "it makes sense for me to seek another challenge" following the changes in the Villa boardroom.
Villa are twelve points from safety at the foot of the league and Fox and Lerner have been the target of fans' anger over their struggles.

WHAT GOING ON IN FOOTBALL? DON'T TEAMS FEED THEM?
Souleymane Doukara, Leeds United striker given eight-match ban for biting opponent
The 24-year-old was charged for an incident in his side's 1-1 Championship draw with Fulham on 23 February.
It is understood the bite was on Cottagers defender Fernando Amorebieta.
The Football Association said in a statement: "[This] was considered a non-standard case given the seriousness and both unusual and violent nature of the misconduct."
Doukara, who denied the charge, has also been fined £5,000.
Leeds United said that they were "disappointed with the outcome and the length of the ban" but would not be commenting further until the full written judgement has been released.
The ban means Doukara will be unavailable until the final game of the season.
Previous biting bans
Barcelona forward Luis Suarez has served three bans for biting during his career.
The Uruguay striker was banned for nine international matches and suspended from all football activity for four months for biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini during the 2014 World Cup.
Dagenham & Redbridge midfielder Joss Labadie has been banned for biting twice in the past three years.
He was handed a 10-match suspension for a bite while with Torquay in 2014 before being given a six-month ban after biting a Stevenage player while playing for the Daggers last March.

THE WORSE TEAM IN ENGLAND ARE RELEGATED AND NO IT'S NOT ASTON VILLA.......YET!
For a team dubbed "the worst in England", it was a fitting way to go out. A 9-0 hammering on Saturday relegated New Mills from the eighth-tier Northern Premier League Division One North.
The Derbyshire club, who have a goal difference of -115, have not won a match all season and only managed two draws.
Their league record reads; Played 35, lost 33, drawn two, scored 21 and conceded 136.
Bottom of the league on two points, they are 26 points from safety with seven games left.
And Aston Villa fans thought they had it bad...

HAVE CHELSEA CHOOSEN THE RIGHT MAN TO ENSURE THEY WIN?
An Italian prosecutor wants a six-month suspended prison sentence and an 8,000 euro fine for Antonio Conte over his alleged role in a match-fixing case, the Italy manager's lawyer has said.
Conte, who denies any wrongdoing, is accused of "sporting fraud" by prosecutors in the city of Cremona.
The case focuses on 2011 when he was in charge of Siena in Serie B.
The 46-year-old ex-Juventus boss agreed a deal on Monday to manage Premier League side Chelsea after Euro 2016.
Conte has already served a ban imposed by the Italian soccer federation in connection with the 2011 case.
Prosecutor Roberto di Martino has cited a match against Albino Leffe, claiming Conte knew of match-fixing efforts. He requested the sentence and fine in a closed-doors hearing in Cremona on Tuesday.
Conte's lawyer, Leonardo Cammarata, said the defence is due to make its final statement to the court on 11 April and a verdict is due in mid-May.
A Chelsea spokesman said the club would not comment on an ongoing investigation

LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON.

Edoardo Cellino, a director at the club, is alleged to have used language that was abusive and/or insulting and/or improper.
The FA are calling it an "aggravated breach", as it included a reference to disability.
Cellino Jr has until 11 April to respond to the charge

HERE'S HOW TO PLAN FOR THE FUTURE IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP.
DOOMED Aston Villa have splashed the cash on a new club badge — when they should be pinching pennies ahead of life in the Championship.
But fans will do well to spot the difference as the re-jigged design, which could come to cost as much as £2million, will change just ONE word.
Villa will ditch the word “prepared” from their crest next season while the rampant lion will be given claws for the first time since 2007.

UPDATE ON "BADGEGATE"
Aston Villa are now saying:
Relegation-threatened Aston Villa say they are spending less than £80,000 to "refresh" the club's crest.
It was reported changes to the badge - intended to make Villa "more effective in the digital age" - could cost £2m.
The crest will change on their website, retail products, television station, club publications and at their stadium.
Villa are bottom of the Premier League, 15 points from safety with six games left, and without a manager after parting company with Remi Garde.
The club say they will not spend "significant sums" on changing the branding at Villa Park this summer.
American owner Randy Lerner put the club up for sale in May 2014 but is yet to find a buyer. Now that's a suprise.

AND THE FIRST TEAM TO BE RELEGATED FROM THE PREMIERSHIP WILL BE....,ANNOUNCED ON SATURDAY NIGHT...MAYBE
Aston Villa will be relegated this Saturday if they lose to the Cherries and Norwich avoid defeat at Crystal Palace. A draw coupled with the Canaries winning would also see them go down.
And to make their task harder Gabriel Agbonlahor has been asked to attend the Villa training ground later on Friday to be examined by the club doctor after the player rang in this morning saying he was suffering from a virus.
Agbonlahor has not been included in the squad. It's the second successive weekend that he will miss a Villa match. Last Saturday we was left out after it was revealed he had been seen in Dubai, smoking a shisha pipe over the Easter weekend.
