OH YEAH!!!!!
Brazil forward Neymar says it is "sad" that people think his world-record move from Barcelona to Paris St-Germain was motivated by money.
The 25-year-old joined the French club for a fee of 222m euros (£200m) and he will earn 45m euros (£40.7m) a year.
(Nice job if you can get it, if he wasn't going there for the cash why not throw a bit my way😜)

You have to feel sorry for Eibar.
Hit the goalpost, the crossbar and Ter Stegen's trailing hand. Oh yeh, and Messi was on the other team!
Four goals for him and Barcelona win 6-1.

THIS DIDN’T CROSS MY MIND, UNTIL NOW
FC Barcelona has been anything but a neutral bystander on the question of Catalan independence in recent years.
It has firmly nailed its colours to the mast of the movement planning a referendum on the issue on 1 October - a referendum declared illegal by the central government in Madrid.
But its position has raised more pressing questions as the situation has become more heated, with militarised Civil Guard police dispatched to arrest pro-secessionist officials and seize referendum materials.
Wouldn't an independent Catalonia deprive Spain's La Liga of one of its most prestigious clubs?
And what about the fans of the world-famous El Clásico grudge matches between Barça and arch-rival Real Madrid, a series in which the latter is tantalisingly just ahead on 95 victories to 91?

No problem.
Monaco play in the French league, Huercal-Overa and Pulpi (both Almeria) play in the Murcian Tercera and even Toronto Blue Jays play in the US major league baseball.
Not to mention Berwick Rangers!
I've often thought someone in Mazarrón should protest about the Almerian teams. Give us more chance of getting into the Tercera!

Chaos at the Camp Nou
Barcelona v Las Palmas (15:15 BST)
Spanish La Liga
Barcelona's league match at home to Las Palmas will take place behind closed doors, despite clashes occurring around Catalonia's independence referendum.
The Spanish government has pledged to stop a poll that was declared illegal by the country's constitutional court.
"FC Barcelona condemns the events which have taken place," said a statement from the Nou Camp club.
It added Sunday's match "will be played behind closed doors" after the league's "refusal to postpone the game".

Whilst Real Madrid stumble and fall, Barca keep rolling on.
After going two goals behind, they end up winning 4-2 at the Anoeta against Real Sociedad. Their first league win there for over 10 years.
Now 9 points ahead of second-placed Atlético, but a massive 19 points ahead of Los Blancos.

Champions League - Chelsea vs Barcelona.
What a tribute to Barcelona! Chelsea playing a 5-4-1 line-up.
60 mins.
But it's worked. After hitting each post in the first half, Willian places a superb shot to make it Chelsea 1-0 Barcelona.
(In the meantime, I've just noticed it's Brentford 4-0 Birmingham!)
75 mins
L E E O O O.............................
Chelsea mistake snapped up by Iniesta...over to Messi and it's 1-1 His first goal in 9 games against Chelsea.
(Meanwhile, at Griffin Park, it's now 5-0.)
Is that 'advantage Barca'? 1-1 with the away goal to take back to the Nou Camp.

Hey...we have a game on our hands tonight!
5 mins gone and it's already Barcelona 1-1 Girona.
Portu for Girona after 2 mins and Suarez equalizing after 5.
30 mins and Leo completes his scrapbook. A goal against the only La Liga team not on his record.
Barca 2-1 Girona.
36 mins and a Messi free kick makes it 3-1. A daisy cutter under the wall.
44 mins....Messi to Coutinho to Suarez and it's 4-1. Game over?
Half-time.
65 mins....Exquisite turn and shot from outside the box...Coutinho makes it 5-1.
75 mins...Dembele gives Suarez an unmissable tap-in for his hat-trick. 6-1.
And that's that.
Descended into farce for the last 10 minutes with Alba doing a rugby tackle to get a fifth red card to miss next week's visit to Las Palmas but ensure he's available for the following week's game against Atlético. And then Suarez trying and failing THREE times to get his 'suspension' card! Will Valverde now 'rest' him next week?
(EDIT: I've just found out that Girona's Portu was born in Murcia!)

No such fun in the Canaries tonight!
Lionel gets a goal but so do Los Amarillos. UD Las Palmas 1-1 FC Barcelona.
And seeing as how Griezmann beat Leganés all on his own (Atlético 4-0 Leganés) the gap at the top is now down to 5 points.

COME TO FOREST SON

Iniesta....what a player. Always to be remembered for his 2010 World Cup winning goal in extra time against Holland. He comes from Fuentealbilla in Albacete Province, just north of Yecla. If you're around that way, check out the family's bodega... bodegainiesta.es/en/
