Well, we made it! So who will we be playing next season?
From this season's Tercera: 1 YECLANO DEPORTIVO (if they miss out on their final play-off) 2 MAR MENOR C.F. 3 CLUB ATLETICO PULPILEÑO 4 E.D.M.F. CHURRA GESA 5 SOCIEDAD FOMENTO Y CULTURA MINERVA 6 F.C. PINATAR ARENA 7 AGUILAS F.C. 8 F. C. CARTAGENA SAD "B" 9 NV ESTUDIANTES DE MURCIA C.F. 10 UCAM MURCIA C.F. 11 MULEÑO C.F. 12 C.D. MINERA 13 LORCA FUTBOL CLUB 14 EL CASTILLO HUERCAL-OVERA C.F. 15 C.D. CIEZA 16 REAL MURCIA C.F. "B" 17 UNION DEPORTIVA LOS GARRES
From the Preferente: CAP CIUDAD DE MURCIA CLUB OLÍMPICO DE TOTANA MAZARRÓN F.C.
From Segunda 'B': C.F. LORCA DEPORTIVA
Those of you with a calculator will notice that is 21 teams! We'll have to wait to see what the Fed. decide on the number to be included. It might be 21!
I believe the rules say that, if Yeclano get promoted to Segunda 'B', one more team from the Preferente would go to the Tercera. Based on the final league table, that would be C.D. Algar. But, with Lorca Deportiva having been relegated, I don't know if that would stand.

We'll we made it. We know who we are playing ish. Now over the coming months the merry go round of who will be playing for us come the first game of the season starts. I will start it off by saying we must keep the Harald Schumacher lookalike in goal. Find of the season in my book.

It is being said (Twitter - and we know that can have much Fake News!) that the division will be 20 or 21 depending on Yeclano's promotion or not. CD Algar will, apparently, miss out either way as Lorca Deportiva were relegated. Incidentally, the Valencian Tercera played with 21 teams this season. Each team having one 'bye week'. It will be interesting to see if they re-balance it to 20 somehow!

NEW SHIRT AND SPONSOR FOR NEXT SEASON? It is reported that this is the new Mazarron shirt for the next season 18/19. With some new features, such as the flags of Mazarron and United Kingdom, the elimination of the image of the mines, the name of Mazarron on the shield and a new sponsor Ben - Hur.

MAZARRÓN LOOKING FOR A NEW MANAGER
Juanlu, last seasons manager has left the club. He states that it was a decision made by the clubs hierarchy.
He thanked the supporters for all their support especially the ex pat contingent.
In his time at the club he was in charge he won four games drew one and lost three.
This was his first appointment as a manager and Mazarrón may be looking for someone with more experience to take them forward into the higher division.

I think the Argentinian manager maybe available soon. He looks an ideal candidate,he would be loved by the Federation for his contributions . If we don't want promotion and want to languish in midtable mediocrity then Mick MacArthy must get an interview as he departed Portaloo Road last season. Any other candidates?

It's said to be 'Juanjo Asensio'. The best fit I can find is Juan José Asensio Alonso who has played for Aguilas but seems to have been in local politics recently! I'm still looking. And....of course, played for us in the Tercera in the 2000s..... www.mazarronfc.es/reports2008.htmThis was the great team with Cuenca, Quintana, Javi Soto, Munir, etc. But it was the beginning of the end for Mazarron's stay in the Tercera. 2008/9 saw the previous sponsors, San Antonio, pull out and leave the club in a financvial mess. Relegation the following year spelt the end of the Mazarron CF club.

Yeclano Deportivo lost their play-off game today so will be staying in the Tercera for next season. That will give Mazarrón their longest trip, 140km up to wine country again.

PRICES FOR NEXT SEASON
Season tickets prices have been announced by Mazarrón F.C. for next season.
They are €35 for females and juveniles whilst the general public will pay €50 for the 20 home games.
This works out at just €2.50 per game for men and €1.75 for women and Juveniles between the age of 16 and 25 years of age
Hang on, what happened to equality?
Anyway tickets are available from the club and I presume Los Amigos.

What about normal admission prices if you pay on the gate? To save €15 i am getting straight down the charity shops for a wig, some high heels and a few dresses so I can pass for a lady or maybe make sure I shave every Sunday and sneak in as a junior..... Mind you it won't affect the locals who get in on a nod and a wink everyweek.

NO LONGER THE ESTADIO MUNICIPAL After over 50 years of service to Mazarrón F.C. the football club have decided to rename the Estadio municipal the Pedro Mendez Mendez stadium. A great decision and Pedro is well worth the honour. Many supporters don’t see the work Pedro puts in at the ground both literally on and off the pitch. It’s guys like him that are the ticking heart of the club. Well done Pedro, well deserved.

Absolutely bloody fantastic!!!
Pedro has been with Mazarron CF and FC through thick and thin.
When I wanted my first Mazarron shirt in 2006, he had none on his stall in the market but asked me to be back in 30 mins and he'd have one for me. Sure enough, the famous '21' shirt arrived and I'm sure it was a spare team shirt!
Bien hecho Pedro, si estás viendo...muchos saludos.

Here are the three variations of the new team shirt. Note the first team shirt will not have the Lardin/Gasoleo ads. They are sponsoring junior teams.
