ANOTHER PRE SEASON GAME Mazarrón FC v Lorca Deportivo Well now then....I know that's what it says....but forgive me if I'm a bit sceptical! 'Lorca Deportiva' is the club that romped away with last season's Tercera and won through the play-offs for promotion to Segunda B. The Segunda B season starts this weekend and so it would be a surprise if they played a friendly in the middle of next week. What I think is more likely, is that the visitors will be the old 'El Palmar' team that became a 'filial' to Lorca Deportiva for this coming season. I could be wrong, of course. And, if so, it will be a tremendous game. www.lorcadeportiva.es/palmar-cf-sera-filial-del-lorca-deportiva-esta-temporada-201718/

ANOTHER PRE SEASON GAME Mazarrón FC v Lorca Deportivo I could be wrong, of course. And, if so, it will be a tremendous game. And, not unusually, looks like I will be wrong! MFC have said the game will be "frente al Lorca Deportiva de Manolo Palomeque". Palomeque has just replaced Riquelme Galiana who had only been at Lorca Dep. since April! But was the man that got them promoted to Segunda B. Palomeque was at Mar Menor.

Mazarrón FC 1 v Molina CF 3
This was a typical pre season game with both sides using every player they had in their respective squads.
Mazarrón controlled the first half taking the lead from an excellent over the top ball with the striker rounding the goal keeper to slot home.
A back three of Raso, Boudia and Andreo easily contended with all of Molinas infrequent attacks and we all sat back waiting for the scoreboard to tick over to Mazarróns benefit as the game progressed.
But then as the multitude of changes came the game switched in the favour of the visitors.
The much taller away side slowly took control of the game as the second half progressed equalizing and then taking the lead.
A 1-3 score line flattered Molina but it was valuable match time for both sides.
It was strange to see 'Mr Sam' in the dugout sat next to the new manager and you wonder if occasionally during the season a pair of boots might be put in front of him if we hit difficult times.

ANOTHER PRE SEASON GAME Mazarrón FC v Lorca Deportivo Kickoff 8pm (20.00) Wednesday 23rd August To be played at our home ground It has been confirm that on the 23rd the new team will be presented to the fans and the trophy Miguel Ronquillo will be played for on Wednesday Municipal Stadium at 20:00 in front of the Sports Lorca Should be an interesting game. Lorca Dep. (Seg B) lost their 'presentation game' against Águilas (Tercera) on penalties. And today, they lost their first league game against Real Betis B by 4-1. So, either our lads have a real chance, or they'll be in for a hiding if Lorca get their act together.

Half-time news from Municipal ... Mazarron 0-2 Lorca Dep. But the team sheet for Lorca Deportiva contains most of the players that turned out for them on Sunday when they lost to Real Betis B. So it will be a good test for our lads.

New signing. José Antonio has joined Mazarrón FC for next season 17/18. He previously played for Lorca FC "B" and is well thought of and could be great signing. Attachments:
