WHERE TO FILL UP
Spotted this morning 'pumping gas' at the BP station near to the country club was our young flying winger Steven.
He said the whole team were disappointed to miss out on promotion last season but hoped to put it right during the next footballing year.
So if you want a flying winger in your tank fill up at the BP

With registration due in less than two weeks, it's about time we heard something from the club!
Everyone else seems to be signing and re-signing players.
Bala have re-signed several for their Tercera exploits and recruited a goalkeeper from Estudiantes (Rafa Rubio).

Former England goalkeeper John Ruddy is available as he's been released, Kyle Lafferty who has scored 20 in 58 for Northern Ireland also available. Both are gratis only the insignificant matter of wages to be considered. The Canaries also released Steven Whittaker and Michael Turner but I would not inflict or suggest them to anybody even if they offered to play for nothing and paint the stadium and wash the kit and mark the pitch. They should be arrested by the SFO for impersonating footballers and taking money by deception.

I popped down to the ground this morning and spoke to Pedro.
He said that the pitch was to be leveled, reseeded and should come on nicely. New seats are to be installed initially on our side of the ground.
Pedro says that 4 managers have been interviewed for the job and an announcement is imminent.
As Les has said in his previous posting a number of players have recommitted to the team for next season and the new manager will bring the squad up to strength upon his appointment. Add to his list Steven who I spoke to yesterday who said he will rejoin Mazarrón for the next campaign.
The following is from Gerard who is a vocal at the club.
"We are sorting out a few details with the new manager who hasnt signed on the line yet . Hopefully we will have it sorted soon.
About 7 of the team have said they will be staying"
To shed a bit of light upon the sudden departure of last seasons manager prior to the final game in the playoffs I am led to believe that it was down to a crucial substitution late in the first leg against Las Garres.
The game was 0-0 and looking good when he substituted a player against the wishes of the club president. Following the substitution Las Garres scored two goals. There was a discussion regarding the managers decision with the president and there was only going to be one outcome.
I wasn't at the game so cannot make a comment on whether the manager or president was correct but we all know the outcome of that decision, we spend another season in the Preferente😤

With the light as bad as it was, the best way to score would have been to keep pounding the goal from all sides. And you know how good Chino is at that!

MAZARRÓN HAVE A NEW MANAGER
There will be a presentation of Mazarróns new manager on Friday.
I spoke to Pedro this morning and he tells me that he's from Murcia and has previous connections to Mazarrón FC.
His name is Paco Pliego who has significant experience both in our division and the one above leading teams to successfully achieve promotion to 2B.
He managed Mazarrón in the early 2000's
As always the new guy will be bringing players with him when he joins us.
More details in two days.

I hope the club has validated his coaching qualifications! Last year he was warned by the RFEF when coaching the Jumilla first team. It's possible that level needs a higher qualification than for us, but you never know in Spain!
