The new manager looks like Mick Mills with hair. Or as posted early from the Quo. If we get the PA sorted we could have a Status Quo song or two rather than the Champions League theme or We are the World which forced our ear drums to bleed last season. The new recruit from Totana looks like he wasn't happy with his weekly shop looking at the face of the opposing player and he looks like he has gone over the ball to finish him off while he's on the floor. Only time will tell but I reckon he may get to know the referee very well and his least favourite colour maybe yellow with a hint of red.

Is there any friendly games arranged between 17th to 31st July as I am over then thanks. Not Mazarron I know, but Everton and Southampton U23s will be playing at the Pinatar Arena against the Lorca FC team that has been promoted to the Segunda Division.

FROM MAZARRÓN FC OFFICIAL TWITTER SITE Two new highs, Alfonso Cánovas and Joseda! Two good signings without any doubt, happy to wear our shirt. Now wether the Joseda is the Mazarrón old boy who has recently played for Bala Azul is unclear. Photo of Alfonso Cánovas posted below.

JOSEDA
It's been pointed out to me that Totana had a Joseda in their squad last season and it could be him. so we will just have to wait until we see who turns up in a red shirt🤔

PRE SEASON
Training will commence on 25 July, good luck lads in this weather🌞 and pre season games are being sorted.
As our home ground pitch is being relaid the pre season games will mainly take place at the opponents ground although the option of the plastic pitches is always possible.
The first game we know about is away at Churra of the Tercera division and is scheduled for Friday 4th August, more details when available will be posted here.

ANOTHER RE-SIGNS Pedro Garcia, the young right sided defender, has signed up for another season with Mazarrón FC. A product of our promotion winning side of two seasons ago, he was the captain of the side, he made a number of appearances last season for the senior team improving with every performance. His father, Pedro of course, ex waiter of the now closed Ramon hotel and restaurant on the main road in Mazarrón will be a proud father I'm sure.

PRE SEASON GAMES12th August Real Murcia National v Mazarrón FC I assume this is the Real Murcia Juveniles team that topped the Juveniles 'National' Group X league our juveniles were in? They would have been promoted to the Division de Honor were it not for the fact there is already a Real Murcia team playing there! Should be a tough game all round.

Away strip I hope?
We always use to play in a white away strip and only changed to blue when there was a chance of a local insurance company, based in Gibraltar, going to sponsor us, but that deal fell through but the blue shirts had been bought so we stuck with them and since then we've been singing the 'blues' on our travels.
Personally I really like the return to our traditional white away strip (moves us away with any link to the shower in the port) and should please supporters who might still have a white Mazarrón FC/Los Amigos away shirt in their wardrobe.
And just note the two union flags at bottom of the back of the shirt and the U.K. ex pat supporters club name emblazoned between them, neat. Are they for sale?

GROUND IMPROVEMENTS, WHAT GROUND IMPROVEMENTS?
I went to the ground this morning to get my club lottery ticket from Pedro who I found on the far side of the pitch digging up one of the pitch sprinklers which hasn't worked for years.
I was disappointed to find that the so called 'relaying of the pitch' seems to consist of a layer of gritty soil being spread on top of the original playing surface and reseeded (which the local birds were enjoying'
So much for a new playing surface. Come on Ayuntamiento you can do better than this. Remember the promises of a new 3G artificial surface which could have been used by ALL of our sides plus the schools and colleges surrounding our ground. Short sighted once again I'm afraid.
As to the new seating? What new seating? No action at all so far just rows and rows of broken (and dangerous) plastic seats. Remember this at election time people.
How is it Bala Azul's stadium appears in pristine condition whilst we are the poor relation?
We now have only a few weeks before the season starts so action is needed soon!
