This one is doing the rumour rounds. I reckon that Harry would be a "shoe in" if or when Sam goes.
QPR boss Harry Redknapp is the leading contender with bookmakers to take over as West Ham manager if the Upton Park club part company with current boss Sam Allardyce.

Step forward the next man who wants a ride on the magic round-about. You don't have to stay on for as long as your contracted to, fail at your job then when you get kicked off there's a great big pay day waiting for you to tide you over until you get on the next ride. Tonight we present a new face to English football, PEPE MEL. West Brom appoint Pepe Mel as their new head coach West Brom have appointed former Real Betis manager Pepe Mel as their new head coach on an 18-month deal. The Baggies have been looking for a new manager since sacking Steve Clarke on 14 December. Spaniard Mel, 50, held talks with West Brom in December but was ruled out after it became clear he wanted to bring his own backroom staff. After three years in charge of Betis, Mel was replaced by Juan Carlos Garrido at the start of December.

The rumour mill is in full production today regarding embattled big Sam at West Ham. According to two national papers both Forest's Billy Davis and ex hammers Malky Mackay are being lined up for the job.
This weekend sees West Ham playing Cardiff in a must win game for Sam, if he loses..........

And, of course, there's a 'local' interest - one year at Real Murcia! Here's some of his Wiki content... Mel started coaching one year after retiring, his first club being amateurs CD Coslada in the Community of Madrid. In 2001, after one year at Real Murcia in division two, he replaced Valencia CF-bound Rafael Benítez at the helm of CD Tenerife, having his first spell in the top flight as a coach, and suffering relegation.
In the following four seasons Mel worked in the second level, being sacked early into the 2005–06 season by Polideportivo Ejido. Shortly after he dropped down a level and moved to Rayo Vallecano, helping the Madrid outfit return to the second division in his second year, subsequently leading the side to the fifth place, with chances of promotion until the very last month of competition.
On 15 February 2010, after a string of poor results, Mel was sacked by Rayo, being replaced by director of football Felipe Miñambres, who helped the club to the 11th place. In the summer he signed with former side Betis, also in the "silver category", leading the Verdiblancos back to the top division in his first year.
Mel coached Betis to the seventh position in the 2012–13 season, with the subsequent qualification to the UEFA Europa League. He was relieved of his duties on 2 December 2013, however, after falling to a 0–4 derby loss at Sevilla FC and conceding a last-minute 2–2 home equalizer to Rayo Vallecano.Hmm...Real Betis are currently bottom of La Liga, 5 points from safety!
