NEXT HOME GAME
TERCERA DIVISION GRUPO XIII - game 7
Scheduled for Sunday 07/10/2018
To be played at the ESTADIO MUNICIPAL (Pedro Mendez Mendez) DE MAZARRON
MAZARRON F.C. v MAR MENOR C.F.
After gaining an important point with a 2-2 draw at Churra last weekend Mazarrón FC return home to defend their 100% home record against another well established Tercera side in the shape of Mar Menor.
LAST WEEKEND
On their travels early last Sunday 10 man Mazarrón FC came away with a commendable 2-2 draw at Churra and this point sees them maintain their place in the top end of the table. Goals from Basi and Dani Barrelis secured the point against a well organised home side in a quite fractious game with a number of red/yellow cards. The result should be seen as a point gained and not two points dropped and we are now just 4 points from the top spot.
Andreo, the player sent off, received the man of the match award 🤣
Meanwhile Mar Menor were at home to lowly CAP Ciudad de Murcia with the final score in a scrappy game being a 1-0 win to Mar Menor but their goal was scored by a CAP Ciudad de Murcia player, an own goal, and that took place the 88th minute before they got the winner.
In a game of many yellow and red cards both managers saw red in the 89th minute and Mar Menor had someone else from the bench sent for the early bath.
MAR MENOR
Mar Menor are an established Tercera team having played in the division for a number of seasons. Last year they finished second in the league but missed out on promotion in the end of season play offs.
This season hasn’t gone off with a bang with them so far but are still handily placed in the league.
CURRENT STATS
MAZARRÓN FC P 6 W 3 D 1 L 2 GF 8 GA 6 Points 10
MAR MENOR P 6 W 3 D 1 L 2 GF 10 GA 10 Points 10
SANCTIONS AND SUSPENSIONS
On the plus side Mazarrón FC welcome back two very influential players next weekend, Captain Adrian Campoy after his one match suspension for a double yellow and Boudia has finally completed his 6 match suspension from last season. The return of these two excellent players will bolster the defence and provide creativity in the midfield. And at last our manager gets to sit in the dugout following the completion of his suspension.
But we will be without another important player in the shape of Andreo who took an early bath against Churra and as its was a straight red he will be missing for more than one game.
More details of any other suspensions will be posted on the forum when they are released on Thursday night by the federation, but we know that the manager of Mar Menor will be ‘sitting in the stands’
