NEXT AWAY GAME
TERCERA DIVISION GRUPO XIII - Game 6
Scheduled for Sunday 30/09/2018
To be played at CAMPO MUNICIPAL DE CHURRA
E.D.M.F. CHURRA GESA v MAZARRON F.C.
So that’s three wins out of three for Mazarrón FC at home this season following Sunday’s 2-0 victory but on the road has been a different matter, let’s hope to change that next weekend when we travel to play Churra.
LAST WEEKEND
Mazarrón FC took on bottom side NV Estudiantes De Murcia and even though they were not at their best Mazarrón still came away with that 2-0 win. Looking back at the record books at the end of the season it will say ‘home win’ and three points and that’s what matters.
The main downside was the sending off of Campoy for two unnecessary yellow cards so he will be missing and with his natural replacement, Boudia, serving the last of his 6 match suspension carried over from last season there will be a big hole in the centre of the Mazarrón team, time fo someone to step up and fill a pair of big boots.
Meanwhile our next opponents, Churra, were on the road to lowly CAP Ciudad de Murcia and despite the gap in the table positions Churra were held to a 2-2 draw having to come from behind to gain a point.
EDMF CHURRA GESA
Our opponents competed in the Trecera division last season and came in at a commendable 4th place so are not mugs in this division.
They play their games at the municipal stadium in Churra which has an artificial playing surface. The stadium has limited seating down one side of the pitch but is a modern ground with the usual toilet and canteen facilities.
Churra is a small suburb situated in the north of the city of Murcia the ground being about 500 meters from the IKEA superstore. So directions to the ground are very simple. Get onto the A7 motorway at Totana, follow that motorway until you reach the signs for the A30 and look to your right and you will see the IKEA superstore. You will reach a huge traffic roundabout, watch how you go here as lane discipline at roundabouts is not the best in Spain, at the traffic island take the third turnout after 100 meters go straight over the next roundabout then it’s first right and the ground is on your right on Calle Juan Aguilar Amat. For those of you independently travelling and have a sat nav the coordinates for the ground are 38° 01' 32" N, 01° 08' 18" W
Distance from Camposol to The Municipal stadium Churra is 57KM but will only take 40 minutes as almost motorway all the way.
I think that Mazarrón FC will be in their usual red shirts and blue shorts as Churra play in a full ‘lime green’ strip, sunglasses maybe advisable.
CURRENT STATS
3rd CHURRA P 5 W 3 D 1 L 1 GF 10 GA 4 Points 10
7th Mazarrón P 5 W 3 D 0 L 2 GF 6 GA 4 Points 9
SANCTIONS AND SUSPENSIONS
Sanctions and suspensions will be released by the federation and will be posted on the Mazarrón forum on Thursday but we know that we will be without Campoy and Boudia. Is our manager still “sitting in the stands?”
