NEXT AWAY GAME
TERCERA DIVISION GRUPO XIII - game 4
Scheduled for Sunday 16/09/2018
To be played at the CAMPO MPAL. "LA CONSTITUCION"
YECLANO DEPORTIVO v MAZARRON F.C.
Following the great win in the ‘derby’ game last weekend against local rivals Olimpico Totana Mazarrón F.C. embark on their longest road trip of the season to face a side who we haven’t played for a number of seasons in the shape of Yeclano Deportivo. Whilst Mazarrón F.C. face disappointing season after disappointing season after their heady days of division 2B Yeclano have been up there with the big boys only just failing to gain promotion to the third tier of Spanish football last season.
LAST WEEKEND
Amongst the thunder and lightning of a stormy night Mazarrón F.C. entertained Olimpico Totana at home and what a different performance it was. It’s true to say that the home side dominated both possession and chances at the Estadio municipal Pedro Mendez Mendez. A 2-1 win was well justified on the night and putting to bed the previous weeks inept performance.
Meanwhile Yeclano Deportivo traveled to rock bottom CAP Ciudad de Murcia, who have now lost 3 out of 3 games, and not surprisingly they came away with an resounding 0-3 win.
YECLANO DEPORTIVO
Yecla is situated in the far north of Murcia and is quite an isolated town famous for its wine production so a tipple at a local bodega might be worth considering.
Yeclano Deportivo finished 1st in the Trecera division last season but failed to make it through the playoffs to gain promotion to division 2B
They play in a strip consisting of a red shirt and blue shorts so it will be all white for Mazarrón for this game.
Yeclano play in the excellent stadium Campo municipal. "LA CONSTITUCION" which is situated just to the east of the center of the town, so it is very much a ground in the heart of the town of Yecla and not ‘out in the sticks’ as often is the case in this league.
For independent travelers the sat nav coordinates are 38° 36' 29" N, 01° 06' 23" W the most direct route is from Camposol get onto the A7 at Totana to Murcia. At the ‘Ikea’ turn off take the A30 towards Albecete until you reach the A33. Travel along the A33 to its very end then it’s a left turn onto the RM424 which will bring you to the correct side of Yecla for the ground. Cross over the N344 now your looking to your left for ‘Calle Del vino’ just after the petrol station. Turn left on Calle Del vino, on which the main wine facility is situated, and the grounds in front of you.
The distance to the ground is about 140KM and will take about 90 minutes. Details of the Los Amigos away supporters coach will be posted as soon as it is available.
The stadium has covered seating, excellent canteen and toilet facilities and they play on a natural grass surface.
CURRENT STATS
Both teams have played 3 winning twice and losing once and are only divided by goal difference with Yeclano slightly better than Mazarróns.
SANCTIONS AND SUSPENSIONS
These will be released on Thursday by the federation although Mazarrón F.C. will be missing their manager after seeing red last weekend.
