Whilst the Germans win on penalties, the Portuguese certainly don't!
For the second time in recent history, big-shot Cristiano Ronaldo didn't get a chance tonight to claim the last-goal limelight as Portugal failed to get ANY of their shoot-out shots into the goal.
Man. City's Claudio Bravo defied all odds to save the first three Portuguese attempts whilst Alex Vidal, Charles Aranguiz and Alexis Sanchez bury all three of theirs for Chile.
Ronaldo was also due to be the 'anchor man' in the Euro2012 semi-final against Spain, but the Portuguese went down 2-4 in a penalty shoot-out with Ronaldo left sucking his thumb.
Chile will face Germany or Mexico in Sunday's final. Who's to say there won't be more shoot-out drama before the FLS?
EDIT: And they didn't even need penalties!
Chile 0-1 Germany.
