Not really much of interest except for two scores:
Brazil 0-0 South Africa Brazil 0-0 Iraq
The natives won't be happy!
Defeat against Denmark on Thursday (KO: 03:00 Spanish) will see them on the plane home!

Big upset in the women's football. USA go out on penalties against Sweden.
The United States were women's Olympic champions in 1996, 2004, 2008 and 2012, winning silver in 2000.

I know it's not football, but it IS played with a ball.... GB vs Spain Hockey at 22:00 (Spanish) tonight. Final score 1-1. GB went out when group winners Belgium contrived to lose to New Zealand which saw the Blacksticks (!) go through to the quarters. But there Spain were beaten by Argentina and New Zealand were beaten by Germany. Up tonight (Monday) it's the women's turn for GB to face off to Spain - at 22.45 (Spanish).

Up tonight (Monday) it's the women's turn for GB to face off to Spain - at 22.45 (Spanish). With a 3-1 win over Spain and 3-0 over New Zealand, the ladies look to be in with a chance against the existing Olympic champions Netherlands who only got to the final via penalties over Germany. WHAT DID I TELL YAH! WELL DONE THE GIRLS.

...and it was written.....
After 30 mins, it's Brazil 1-0 Germany
Scorer? Neymar of course.
(Incidentally, have you noticed all the German sports wear says 'GERMANY' not Deutschland! I blame it on Brexit!)
60 mins and it's 1-1.
90 mins and we're into extra time.
120 mins - don't tell me the Germans are going to win on penalties!
Germany 1-0 Brazil
Germany 1-1 Brazil
Germany 2-1 Brazil
Germany 2-2 Brazil
Germany 3-2 Brazil
Germany 3-3 Brazil
Germany 4-3 Brazil
Germany 4-4 Brazil
Germany MISS....still 4-4
...and so it was written... NEYMAR makes it 5-4 to Brazil!!!
