NEXT HOME GAME
EDIT
MAZARRON FC juveniles v ESPINARDO C.F. juveniles
KICKOFF 7pm (19.00) Saturday 1st March
To be played at estadio municipal. (our home ground)
As you can see from above, the juveniles will be playing on Saturday night at our home ground. This is to avoid clashing with the seniors game being played the next day, I will publish more details here as soon as I get them. Poor old Espinardo CF are having a tough time this season sitting, as they are, bottom of the juvenile league. The last time that the two sides met was in November last year when Mazarron FC visited their ground and came away with a 1-7 win and things haven't got much better. Last week it was the turn of CAP Ciudad Murcia to 'dip their bread' with a 2-7 victory. So with all thing equal this should be 3 points in the bag for our juvenile side but I'm sure Perete wont let the lads sit on their laurels and take the game for granted. So if you want to see top class football played by players in a Mazarron FC shirt you should make a point of getting on down to the ground to see this game next weekend, after all the lads are the future of our senior team. CURRENT STATS:2nd MAZARRON F.C. P 17 W 12 D 2 L 3 GF 55 GA 24 Points 38 13th ESPINARDO C.F. P 17 W 2 D 2 L 13 GF 24 GA 67 Points 8 2nd EDIT

FINAL SCORE
MAZARRON FC juveniles 13 v ESPINARDO C.F. juveniles 0 An absolute demolition job by our excellent Juvenile side. At one stage we were scoring at a goal every 4 minutes and by half time Mazarron were 9-0 up with our goalkeeper trying to stay warm by jumping up and down. In the second half the scoring slowed down as numerous substitutions were made, it seemed like Perete, the juvenile trainer, was trying to keep the score down. In the second half ESPINARDO tried another tactic, assaulting our players and at one stage the ref struggled to control the away teams antics but to our lads credit they didn't get involved and answered in the only way possible, by scoring more goals. By the time of the final whistle our keeper had made one save, their keeper was shell shocked and a further 4 goals had made the net bulge. I could go on about the excellent style of the football played, on the floor, to feet with passes very rarely going astray. Football, just pure simple football at it's best. There is no way that I can recall all of the goals but as an example the 7th goal was such a fine example of youth football and it went like this. Mazarron FC keeper rolled the ball out to his defenders who dazzled an opponent with a bit of fancy footwork before laying it off to the midfield who played a bit of triangle football before chipping it onto a forward who had moved onto the right wing. As he was about to burst into the box he was hacked down, but instead of rolling over and squealing he got to his feet, regained control of the ball, beat the defender and almost burst the net with his shot, absolutely brilliant. A really great game and the score did not flatter our boys and the final score could have easily been 20. Well done lads. 7 GAMES TO GO!

VISTALEGRE MURCIA "A" P 18 W 10 D 5 L 3 GF 54 GA 27 Points 35 This outing will be a sterner test for the juvenile side than last weekend when they rattled in 13 goals without reply although we did beat them 4-2 at home in November. A.D. VISTALEGRE MURCIA "A" dropped points last weekend away at 8th placed Ciudad Murcia in a 0-0 draw and will do well to catch up with the teams in the promotion places. NOTE: Nothing to do with this game but just to wet your appetite, Les has just pointed out to me that the last juvenile game to be played this season will be at home against CD JAVALI NUEVO, who currently are the top team whilst we are just behind them in 2nd place.
It could well be a title decider. The game is currently scheduled for Sunday 11th May 2014. By coincidence the senior team are at home that weekend as well so it's certain that the schedules will be arranged so that we can see both games I sure.
EDIT
Earlier today the top team CD Javali Nuevo dropped two points in an away draw, but Mazarron FC came unstuck today against the 4th placed team so fall a bit further behind.

Following yesterdays bad result and with just 6 games to go Mazarron FC juveniles now find them selves 4 points off top spot and CD Javali Nuevo have a game in hand. Maybe that last game of the season, when these two sides meet, will be a deciding factor as to where the tittle goes.

4 GAMES TO GO
The last time these two sides met was in late November 2013 when in the away game Mazarron FC came away with a 1-1 draw, but to re-kick their push for the tittle they will need to take all three points available this time round. But ANEF-Murcia are no slouches and come to this game with a good 6-0 win at home against 11th placed CAP Ciudad de Murcia, so the lads could have a battle on their hands. The only game with no KO time on the Fed listing for Juveniles! Any idea why?
Although, there is a weirdo on there - CAP Ciudad juveniles should be playing El Palmeral, but it's not 'timed' and the dreaded word 'suspendido' occurs in the detail. Any ideas on this? (Purely for interest!)

I spoke to Jose, the club president today, Sunday 23/3/14 who confirmed that next weeks opponents AD Palmeral have folded and this game will no longer go ahead and will be a 'bye weekend'
He also said that means with the bye weekend we have already scheduled in a couple of weeks time that Mazarron FC have 4 games remaining ALL to be played at home.
How this effect the points won/lost by AD Palmeral and their opponents I don't know. Mazarron FC have played them once this season winning 2-0 so is that 3 points off our total? Some teams have played them twice and have gained 6 points, do they lose all 6? Palmeral have beaten teams this season, what happens to those points? It's a 'bag of mashings'.
I my opinion all of their records for this season should be expunged so nothing is lost or gained and no team put at a disadvantage.
The team above Mazarron FC, CD Javali Nuevo have also only played them once, winning 5-0 so what ever happens and whatever the federation does, it shouldn't effect the run in for the tittle, I hope. But the federation needs to sort it out.

As far as I can find out, generally, there are two alternative effects:
(i) if a team 'retires' in the first half of the season, all scores of the games played by the retiring team are discounted and unplayed games are ignored; (ii) if in the second half of the season, games played are recorded as completed and unplayed games are conceded to the opposing team by the usual 3-0 victory.
Although I can't find a direct similar reference to our leagues, that sounds sensible!
So we and Javali-N should pick up the 3 points each.
HOWEVER, I've just found an alternative (but similar!) scenario applying to the retirement of Ciudad de Cieza in the Preferente...
Scores for the (completed) first half of the season stand, but ALL Ciudad de Cieza games for the second half are discounted!
And, if you look at the Segunda Juvenile league table, that looks like what they have done with El Palmarel.

MAZARRON FC JUVENILES CRUISE TO A 4-1 WIN
Mazarron FC juveniles emulated the senior sides 4-1 score line from yesterday without really ever getting into top gear at the sun drenched Estadium municipal in Mazarron today. A a large crowd were entertained by two top juvenile sides with both teams having some class young players. Returning for Mazarron was Perico, who has been out for almost the whole season with injuries picked up in his other sporting activities such as basketball and indoor football and he lasted almost 70 minute on his return. Sat on the bench was Bryan who, the last time I saw him play, scored 4 goals and senior team regular, Chema, had shaken off his flu symptoms to play for 80 minutes. There was a fair sprinkling of Cadete players also in the team who were available due to the cadetes having no game this weekend. The game kicked off 7 minutes early which caught a number of supporters out as Mazarron FC jumped into a 7th minute lead when a corner from the right was brought down and controlled by a Mazarron player only to have his feet hacked from under him as he was about to shoot. Up steps Fran and as cool as you like slotted the ball home. 1-0 Following the penalty the game entered a quiet stage, which was a reoccurring theme all after noon, until Mazarron were awarded a free kick just outside of the box. Fran floated the ball right onto the head of Jose, the Mazarron main striker, and he nodded the ball home with ease in the 21st minute. 2-0 It took until there were 37 minutes on the clock before ANEF- Murcia had their first shot on the Mazarron goal from well outside the area but it well covered by the Mazarron 'keeper'. As the first half came to an end the 'bulldozer' we know as Perico, and boy hasn't he filled out since he's been injured, barged his way through and I mean 'through' 3 defenders to hit his shot just wide of the far post. HALF TIME MAZARRON FC 2 ANEF-MURCIA 0 The second half had only just started when Perico again had the goal at his mercy but as he pulled the trigger he missed the ball completely and did an 'air shot' Shortly afterwards it was a three man combination with Chema slotting a dream pass to Jose who flicked it onto Juama who's shot struck the woodwork, shame, it was an excellent move. Chema had a chance just after this but scuffed his shot under pressure from two defenders. Then football fate took a hand. Mazarron FC had a free kick just on the edge of the box but it was cleared for a corner to the home side. A well taken corner was cleared well by the defence out to the left wing. The Murcia player collected the ball beat 3 Mazarron defenders and placed a pin point cross onto the head of an attacking Murcia forward who had galloped forward and scored a headed goal. 2-1 More stalemate for a number of minutes was broken by a Beckham/Rooney type dipping shot from 30 metres out which, although beating the keeper all ends up, slipped by the left hand post. Brayn was introduced shortly afterwards and almost score from a cross from the right wing but the excellent Murcia keeper somehow kept hold of the ball. But Mazarron weren't to be denied for long as in the 75th minute Fran, the young cadete forward, who had been having an excellent game at this higher level, received the ball direct from a throw in on the left, collected the ball, looked up and smashed the ball into the back of the net with the keeper rooted to the spot. A class goal. 3-1 It was then the turn of another Cadete, Gines, who sent a dipping shot from the edge of the area and somehow the away keeper tipped it onto the bar and over. With 3 minutes to go Bryan slotted a sublime cross to young Fran for a headed fourth goal to complete the route. 4-1 But I must say the miss of the day goes down to a Murcia forward with literally an empty goal in front of him when he collected a ball from a Mazarron save decided to miss hit the ball skewing it wide by 5 meters. What a miss. FINAL SCORE MAZARRON FC 4 ANEF-MURCIA 1 Mazarron FC goal scorers: FRANCISCO COSTA FERNANDEZ (2) FRANCISCO JOSE HERRERA ZAMORA (1) JOSE ANTONIO MORENO SANCHEZ (1)

NEXT GAME
Saturday 5th or Sunday 6th April 2014 MAZARRÓN FC v CAP CIUDAD DE MURCIA3 GAMES TO GO (ALL AT HOME) Following a weekend off due to the withdraw from the league of AD Palmeral, the juveniles are back in action next weekend against a dangerous foe in the shape of CAP Ciudad de Murcia.
CAP Ciudad de Murcia currently sit in 10th place in the league and last weekend had a creditable 0-0 home draw against 6th placed A.D. Sangonera La Seca.
The last time these two teams met was in early December when Mazarron FC squeezed out a 2-3 away win with our very own Juan Manuel Acosta Garcia scoring a hat trick.
Dates, times and location of this game will be published here at a later date.
With C.D. Javali Nuevo winning 1-2 away last weekend they have now established a 7 points lead at the top of the table and with only the 9 points available to second placed Mazarron FC from their last 3 remaining games I think that Mazarron FC will have to settle for the second, but still a promotion, place.
CURRENT STATS:
I have included the top 4 teams in these stats as well as next weekends opponents to show you how close it is between teams in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place with the 3rd and 4th placed teams having a game in hand over 2nd placed Mazarron FC.

To keep the lads fit and active during their 'bye' weekend a match against the Mazarron FC veterans team was arranged for 7pm last Saturday night. I was informed by Bryan, Mazarron FC juvenile player, that the final score was 2-2 with Bryan scoring both goals for the juvenile team. On Sunday, prior to the senior game, Jose, the club president, was limping a bit. When asked why he informed me that he had played in goal for 45 minutes and was covered in bruises and had bang a number of joints during his goal keeping duties. He's not as young as he used to be when he turned out for the Mazarron CF first team. Leave it to the lads Jose is my advise.

FINAL SCORE
MAZARRÓN FC 4 v CAP CIUDAD DE MURCIA 0
Mazarron FC juveniles needed this result tonight as the teams below and threatening their second place all picked up three points and Mazarron achieved this in style. The first half was somewhat frustrating with numerous chances falling to the home side but it took a bit of individual brilliance to break the deadlock. Jose, playing number 7 and in his usual central strikers role dispossessed a visiting defender played a one-two with a fellow Mazarron forward before hammering home the ball passed a goal keeper in remarkable form having denied the home team at least 3 goals. There must have been strong words spoke at half time as the Juveniles came out for the second half with greater determination and Murcia only rarely got into the Mazarron half for the rest of the game. The ex pat supporters kept the Mazarron FC keeper entertained even if he touch the ball following a back pass with a rousing cheer, fun was had by all. A second goal from Jose, and a penalty won and taken by Gines, was just a prelim to a stunning 30 yard screamer by Fran to finish off the scoring but in all honesty 10-0 would have not have been an excessive score line but our juveniles had to settle for just the four.
