BYE BYE RAFA
Rafael Benitez has entered the final week of his Newcastle contract with ‘no realistic prospect’ of him staying.
Benitez signed a three-year contract to replace Steve McClaren in March 2016, taking them up from the Championship in his first full season before avoiding Premier League relegation in each of his next two.
But Newcastle owner Mike Ashley is seemingly content with the Spaniard’s departure, as ‘no fresh talks have been arranged’ over Benitez’s future despite his deal expiring on June 30.
It is said that a new offer was made to him on May 17 that would have extended his contract by a year on the same salary, albeit with improved bonuses, but this offer hasn’t been accepted.
Look out for Rafa moving to China.

BE AFRAID, BE VERY AFRAID
Roy Keane has just announced that he is leaving Nottingham Forest as assistant manager to Martin O’Neill to “pursue other opportunities in management “
Is your team looking for a manager? Are you ready for the rollercoaster of what happen at Sunderland and Ipswich. Then ‘Roy of the Rovers’ might be heading your way.
Just a thought, will he be the Frank Lampard replacement that the lamb molesters are looking for?

BIRMINGHAM DECIDES TO STICK AND NOT TWIST
Birmingham City have confirmed that Pep Clotet will remain in charge at St. Andrews for the foreseeable with the club “not actively seeking” a replacement to Garry Monk.
Monk was sacked yesterday, despite steering his side well clear of the drop with a ten-point deduction.
James Beattie (First Team Coach), Darryl Flahavan (Goalkeeper Coach), Sean Rush (Head of Physical Performance) and Ryan Needs (Head of Analysis) also remain at Blues.
And experienced midfielder Craig Gardner joins the staff in a Player-Coach capacity.
OFFICIAL: The Club can confirm the football management team in place for the new campaign.

A new Mercadona supermarket is now under construction at the Mazarrón park development where Aldi, Burger King and the new BP station operates from.
The site is to the left of the park, shuttering is up and cranes are in place and are at work.
I would imagine that the current Mercadona supermarket in the pyramid centre, some 50 meters away will close and business will be transferred to the new store.
The new BP garage is close to completion and I reckon will be open in the next week or two.
The Mazarrón park development is now looking very impressive.

A WANTED MAN, BUT NOT IN NEWCASTLE?
Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez has received a £12m-a-year offer to take over as manager at Chinese Super League club Dalian Yifang.
Benitez, 59, is out of contract at the end of June but has been offered a new deal by Newcastle owner Mike Ashley.
So far he has been unable to agree a deal and it is becoming increasingly likely Benitez will leave St James' Park after just over three seasons.
The Spaniard is also linked with a move to succeed Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea.
