Mazarron FC v Club Deportivo Juvenia
Kickoff 4.30pm (16.30) Sunday 16th February 2014
Chance for a bit of revenge here following the result from our third game of the season when we threw away a 0-2 lead to lose the game 4-2. Here's the story of the first encounter. Mazarron took the lead after just five minutes when Pescao ran on to a fine through ball from Alcaraz and slotted the ball home past the advancing keeper. Then, after 20 minutes, Mazarron increased their lead. Chema was fouled on the edge of the penalty area and Tico’s perfectly flighted free kick nestled in the top corner of the net.
Mazarron allowed the home side back into the game three minutes before half time when a right wing cross was turned in at the far post to make the score CD Juvenia 1 Mazarron 2.
Mazarron were never in the game after the interval and CD Juvenia grew in confidence as the half progressed. They equalised after 54 minutes after a goalmouth scramble.
CD Juvenia took the lead for the first time after 70 minutes when poor defending by Mazarron allowed a right wing cross to be forced home at the far post. Then in the final minutes a Juvenia forward who easily beat the advancing Ruben to make the final score 4-2 in favour of the home team.
Team: Ruben, Victor (Juanillo), Juan Andreu, Alcaraz, Dani, Alfonso, Moha, Tico, Pescao (Cecilio), Chema (Randey), Jose Ruben
Man of the Match: Tico
Juvenia were promoted after finishing 5th in the segunda autonomica last season and have consolodated in our league with some good results.
Last weekend they were at home to a poor CD El Esparragal side and could only manage a draw with the final score being 1-1
Mazarron FC and CD Juvenia's current stats are:
7th CD JUVENIA P 19 W 9 D 5 L 5 GF 38 GA 32 Points 32
12th MAZARRON FC P 19 W 8 D 2 L 9 GF 41 GA 35 Points 26

EDIT
Mazarron FC will be without MOHA for 2 games following his sending off last weekend and GARCIA MARTINEZ, JAVIER (RANDRY) for one game, 5 yellow cards.
CD Juvenia will be missing VALLECILLOS QUIJADA, ALEJANDRO who I assume is either a defensive or midfield player having only scored one goal this season.
We have to be aware of the twin strike threat of EDUARDO BOSQUE MARTINEZ & MAXIMINO GOMEZ MARTINEZ both having scored 9 goals this season.
CD Juvenia are one of those clubs that have a coach who is running the team without the correct qualifications. But they are only fined for that.

Mazarron FC 2 Juvenia 1
What a difference a decent goal keeper makes to a side, with Marcos between the posts Mazarron FC looked a more assured side, gone were the last minute desperate tackles needed to protect an uncertain goal minder and the confidence flowed throughout the team.
Mazarron FC got off to a cracking start with a defence splitting pass which found "Man of the Match" Tolo one on one with the Juvenia keeper and he made no mistake.
1-0
Chances came and went, mainly for Mazarron FC, but none were taken and with a very fussy ref not allowing the game to flow.
HALF TIME 1-0
The second half continued in the same vein with Juvenia's chances mainly coming from mistakes made by Mazarron FC players with miss place passes that was until Cecillo, on the pitch from the start, took a hand.
A cross from the right was perfectly flicked on by the human cannonball to the unmarked Tolo who buried his shot past the distraught Juvenia keeper to double Mazarron's lead.
2-0 And do I not like 2-0.
Try as they might Juvenia could not get a handle on this game and it took an intervention by the ref to give them a helping hand.
From a corner a Mazarron FC player was deemed to have fouled someone in the box and a penalty was awarded. Up steps the Juvenia number 8 who up until this time was one of their better players. He placed the ball on the spot and we all held our breath to see if our new keeper, Marcos, could save the day. He wasn't needed as the number 8 scooped the ball almost clearing the netting behind the goal which is mighty high.
From that moment on the poor number 8 came under a barrage of abuse by the home supporters and comments regarding 'donkies' and 'Spanish rugby' hit him every time he touched the ball, we even composed a song for him, poor lad. The juvenia number 8 faded from the game and he spent the rest of the match making obscene gestures to the baying crowd who enjoyed the sport, but effectively this took the lad out of the game.
Late into the game Juvenia crept back into thing from a promising Mazarron attack which broke down just outside of the away teams penalty area the ball was lumped forward to the right and a perfect cross was met by a Juvenia forward who gave Marcos no chance.
2-1
Mazarron FC easily saw out the remaining few minutes to gain 3 valuable points and gain revenge for the defeat by Juvenis earlier in the season
Tolo was voted Man of the Match and the bottle was handed over by Sally Betts, but in all honesty any one of half a dozen players could have walk off with it.
Hopefully this will put Mazarron FC back on tracks with the team confident that when all else fails we now seem to have a keeper, at long last, who can be called upon to do his bit and support the team.
