NEXT HOME GAME and it will be at home
TERCERA DIVISION GRUPO XIII - Game 16
Scheduled for Sunday 02/12/2018
To be played at the ESTADIO MUNICIPAL DE MAZARRON ‘Pedro Mendez Mendez
MAZARRON F.C. v MULEÑO C.F.
At long, long last the much suffering Mazarrón FC supporters will be able to watch their team perform on our own turf following three away game plus one game played at a neutral venue in Lorca following our ground being closed do to idiots in the crowd. I hope that the playing surface will be of the highest standard with its enforced quiet time plus plenty of liquid sunshine last week and the yobs in the elevated stands must behave themselves.
LAST WEEKEND
Mazarrón FC were away at bottom side CD Algar where it finished honours equal at 0-0. Can anyone tell me why our boys have such a hard time against these relegation threatened sides? Top of table teams, no problem, but teams looking at the trap door seem to cause Mazarrón all sorts of difficulties, strange. We’ve only took one point from a possible six from two sides in the relegation zone. Another four bookings could also cause problems for team selection next weekend.
Meanwhile Muleño C.F. were taking on CAP Ciudad de Murcia at home. Remember that CAP Ciudad de Murcia beat our lads the weekend before last 1-0 so it was interesting to see the match up in preparation for next weekends encounter. The team from Mula were stunned by an early second half goal against them but replied later with two goals in the last 13 minutes and with a 2-1 home win Muleño will be arriving at our stadium with their tails up knowing that they beat the side who had just defeated Mazarrón FC.
MULEÑO C.F.
Muleño C.F. play in the town of Mula to the north west of Mazarrón and the return fixture is a game not to be missed as the town is a lovely picturesque little place overlooked by a castle, so mark you diaries for 21st April when we are due to visit.
Muleño played in the Tercera Division last season finishing a very credible 11th. And once again they sit mid table following last weekends result.
I look forward to see Mazarrón cross swords with Muleño again after a few years break as they have a reputation for good football and fair play.
CURRENT STATS
MAZARRÓN FC P 15 W 7 D 4 L 4 GF 17 GA 11 Points 25
MULEÑO C.F. P 15 W 5 D 6 L 4 GF 24 GA 22 Points 21
So you can see from these stats that although Muleño have scored seven more goals than Mazarrón they have conceded twice as many goals.
SUSPENSIONS AND SANCTIONS
Followings last weekends games both sides picked up four bookings and number of our players are at or near to the tipping point when it comes to suspensions but we will get the full details on Thursday when the Federation publishes its sanctions list.
