I seem to posting all the leavers!
"Mauro Fernandez, forward sub-23, who arrived in winter at MazarronFC, will be part of the Totana project. He played at the Godoy Cruz Argentina. Great worker, settled into a great second half of the Preferente." (Olimpico de Totana tweet)

ANOTHER NEW SIGNING Pedro Ruiz Acosta "Zurdo" Player who can act both left-back or wing back has committed himself to Mazarrón for the season 18/19 Previous teams include Águilas FC, Pulpileño and CD Bala Azul Can anyone confirm if this guy is actually joining? It's rumoured he's given up football!

There’s a picture of him signing his contract and holding a Mazarrón shirt on Mazarrón F.C twitter account so it seems likely that it’s happening.

ANOTHER ONE THROUGH THE DOOR Mazarrón F.C. have recruited Josema a right sided player with extensive knowledge in the Tercera division. His previous teams are Águilas FC, Pulpileño and finally Huercalovera, a fast player, with an excellent work ethic.

All sounds promising. What are the disciplinary records of these new players? I think one Spanish Joey Barton is enough for any team.

A SECOND KEEPER IS RECRUITED Cristóbal De a Cruz joins Mazarrón F.C. From F.C. Torrevieja. The young 21 year old goal keeper will battle it out for the No. 1 spot for the upcoming season. With the nickname of ‘The Mechanic’ it hoped that he will help to ‘weld’ the defence together 🤣

COACHING STAFF NEWS Carrasco is continuing as our goalkeeping coach for another season. He is said to be very happy with this continuity, always carrying out his duties seriously, whilst commitment and his work is described as flawless !!

The Redboys have posted on their website that Mazarron have made two new signings, Dani Barriles a 31 year old striker and ex Mazarron favourite Mara, now 28.

"Que golazo" indeed!
From 2013 when Dani Barilles was at Huercal-Overa.
There's a few more here. Not a bad striker - in his day. But this was 4-5 years ago!
But he also had a bit of an 'attitude' too!
From LaVerdad in 2014...
"In Molina there was a canny victory against one of the 'gallitos', the Huércal-Overa that, with the help of Dani Barriles, gave an unfortunate image. First, the player simulated a penalty and the referee caught him. Not just the referee. So clear was his deception that the members of his own board jeered him from the stands. At that, the soccer player got angry and started insulting his own managers. The assistant heard him and called the referee, who ended up expelling him. Barriles then lost the plot and kicked the fence and then tried to jump to the stands up on three occasions to settle accounts with a local fan. After several minutes he was able to get into the locker room."

If it’s true that Mara has returned that would be a top draw appointment.

Any news on the Juan ‘Sam’ Andreo front?

He appeared to be the new managers assistant at Saturday's game. If the first friendly is anything to go by our new manager may spend more time in the stand than the dug out so Sam maybe very busy and we may need a whip round for walkie talkies or a phoneline installing in the dug out. Only time will tell.
