NEXT HOME GAME
PREFERENTE AUTONOMICA
UNICO - game 18
Scheduled for Sunday 14/01/2018
To be played at the ESTADIO MUNICIPAL DE MAZARRON
MAZARRON F.C. v C.D. BULLENSE
This will be the second home game on the bounce and is the first game of the second half of the season.
LAST WEEKEND
Mazarrón FC came unstuck 1-3 at home against league leaders Real Murcia but it could have been so different if Mazarrón had taken their chances and defended better but that’s football for you.
Meanwhile Bullense were winning 3-0 at home against Jumilla in a very strange game. Bullense took the lead in the second minute through a Jumilla own goal and that was it until the 89th minute when the home side scored two in a minute!
WHAT HAPPENED WHEN WE LAST MET?
For the first game of this seasons campaign Mazarrón faced Sunday’s visitors and here’s what happened.
C.D. BULLENSE 1 - MAZARRÓN FC 2 (3.9.2017)
The game started slowly with several fouls with players being brought down, held or shirt pulling but in the 16th minute MAZARRÓN took the opportunity to break up the field, winning a free kick just wide of the box. The strike was slightly long but struck back in for MAZARRÓN's new captain Adrian Campoy to cleanly slot the ball into the net.
MAZARRÓN had the better of the play for the remainder of the first half, they showed better ball skills, notably from Jose Antonio, a new signing from Lorca B. The first half ended 0 – 1.
MAZARRÓN kicked off the second half but Adrian immediately lost possession for Bullense to take the ball straight up the field and into the net. Goal for Bullense within the first minute, a bad start of the second half. 1-1
MAZARRÓN picked up their pace and quickly moved the ball back up the field for Adrian Campoy to head GOAL NUMBER TWO. 1-2
Unfortunately for Bullense this resulted in a serious, but accidental, injury for their keeper who had to be substituted.
MAZARRÓN did not want to lose their lead for a second time. Somewhat franticly MAZARRÓN defended hard and led to Dani seeing a red card and MAZARRÓN were reduced to ten men.
With MAZARRÓN defending their lead Bullense played time and time again for a penalty but all to no avail. With five minutes injury time to play, MAZARRÓN played for time, holding the ball on the corner post but earnt themselves a yellow card for time wasting.
One last substitution ate away the time as Basi (No 9 ) left the field in favour of Pedro (No 12) before the final whistle. MAZARRÓN came away with their first three points of the season.
