NEXT AWAY GAME
Our next opponent are Beniajan CF, to be played on the Sunday 19th January 2014.
Beniajan are currently 2nd in the league which is far better than they performed last season when they just avoiding relegation finishing 4th from bottom of the league.
Last weekend they were away at CD Esparragal where they won 0-1 but had a player sent off.
The respective current stats for both teams are:-
2nd BENIAJAN CF P 15 W 8 D 5 L 2 GF 28 GA 15 Points 29
9th MAZARRON FC P 15 W 8 D 0 L 7 GF 32 GA 22 Points 24
Beniajan CF play in yellow shirts so I would presume that we will be in RED for this game.
Personally I have never been to the ground as I was away when we met at their place last season but I understand that their ground has seating for supporters and the usual canteen facilities. Beniajan CF play on an artificial playing surface which tends to suit our side.
Beniajan is 63 kilometre from Mazarron and the journey will take about an hour. See below for direction for those of you who are independently travelling, away coach details will be published at a later date.
As I said I wasn't there last season when we drew 1-1 in the away game at Beniajan so have to rely on the match report on the day but that shows that we had to play nearly all of the second half with 10 men after Alfonso was sent off after the Beniajan left back fell to the floor as though hit by Mike Tyson when Alfonso ran past him. I have spoke to supporters attending the game and feelings are mixed as to whether Alfonso had struck the defender or not, but off the pitch he went. Mazarron’s equalising goal was scored on the day by Jose Ruben.
DIRECTION TO BENIAJANS "LOS MARQUES" STADIUM (but see the remarks from Les below)
For those of you with "sat nav's" the coordinates for the ground are 37° 57' 53" N, 01° 04' 08" W

At the Alcantarilla junction take the MU30 towards Alcantarilla to it's end and join the A30 Cartagena-Murcia motorway.
Go north to towards Murcia and leave the A30 at junction 143 signed RONDA SUR.
At the first traffic island take the first right onto Ave De Los Dolores.
At the next traffic island take the first right onto the RM300. You will now be on the RM300 for a while.
At the next roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Ctra. Murcia/RM-300 and continue to follow the RM 300
After 1 km bear slightly right off the RM300 and onto Av. Fabián Escribano which leads onto calle Federico Guirao, Continue onto Av. Ciudad de Murcia,
Up to now this has been a straight road with only road name changes BUT the next and final direction is to turn right onto Camino Márquez, which Continues onto Carril Márquez where the ground is situated.
It is not as complicated as it sounds and the last bit is less than 2km.
