NEXT HOME GAME
PREFERENTE AUTONOMICA UNICO - game 5
Scheduled for Sunday 01/10/2017
To be played at our home ground the ESTADIO MUNICIPAL DE MAZARRON
MAZARRON F.C. v A.D. ALQUERIAS
Next up for the all conquering Mazarrón FC are a familiar opponent in the shape of AD Alquerias and I have got a good feeling about this one as it’s a top v bottom clash with our boys being the ones in top spot.
LAST WEEKEND
Mazarrón FC travelled to Cartagena FC and came away with all three points in a game that they totally dominated scoring three goals and keeping a clean sheet, you can’t get better than that. The only downside to the game was the injuries to two of the Cartagena players following a clash of heads and Mazarrón losing Boudia for next weekends game after a bit of fisticuffs but more of that later.
Whilst Mazarrón were showing Cartagena how to play football Alquerias were at home to Bullense and they suffered another defeat in a game finishing 1-2 with Alquerias only scoring in the last minute from the penalty spot. I don’t think that their manager was too pleased as he saw first a yellow card then a straight red so he’ll be up in the stands when they visit the Estadio Municipal de Mazarrón next weekend.
Alquerias are having a rough start to the season gaining only one point from a possible 12 and letting goal in like a sieve.
CURRENT STATS
Following the 1-1 draw between Abaran and Totana, Mazarrón FC now sit proudly on top of the table even before the remaining fixtures in the Preferente were played on Sunday, and that’s a stats that makes nice reading.
1st MAZARRÓN FC P 4 W 3 D 1 L 0 GF 9 GA 2 Points 10
18th AD AQUERIAS P 4 W 0 D 1 L 3 GF 4 GA 11 Points 1
SANCTIONS AND SUSPENSIONS
When the sanctions are published on Thursday by the federation I expect to see Boudia being hit with a multi game suspension following his dismissal for fighting at Cartagena which will be a pity.
I have watch this young man from his early days in the Mazarrón Juveniles where he started out as a striker, then his move to the senior side before a brief time at Bala Azul. On his return home to Mazarrón he had been converted into an excellent defensive midfielder who still knows where the opponents goal is, scoring many valuable goals.
His downside is his ‘hot headiness’ He must learn to control his aggressive nature confining it to legal actions on the field of play and cut out the silly bookings that he repeatedly picks up, if he can do that he will develop into an excellent player that we all know that he is. If not he will miss a lot of the season through suspension which will be bad for him and especially bad for Mazarrón FC who will miss his services during this season that has started so well.
