FIRST HOME GAME OF THE SEASON
PREFERENTE AUTONOMICA UNICO - Game 2
Scheduled for Sunday 10/09/2017
To be played at ESTADIO MUNICIPAL DE MAZARRON
MAZARRON F.C. v JUMILLA C.D.
For our first game of the season we welcome Jumilla CD to our home ground and just hope that the weather is a bit kinder than it was in the corresponding fixture last season.
Just looking back to last season Jumilla, who finished up 11th in the league, came to Mazarrón for the game and the heavens opened up just prior to the kickoff. The game was played in a torrential rainstorm and was a complete farce. Jumilla came away with a 0-1 away win in a match that should have never gone ahead.
The return fixture in Jumilla was a different story with the now departed pair of Chino and fans favourite Raul scoring in a game Mazarrón dominated. The final score was 1-2 with Jumillas goal coming from the penalty spot.
LAST WEEKEND
Mazarrón FC got off to the best of starts with a 1-2 win at Bullense with Mazarrón having to play the last 30 minutes with 10 men after Dani Morales saw a straight red card on his clubs debut. But a great 3 points never the less.
Jumilla were at home to Alcantarilla and fought out a 0-0 draw. The points to note from this game was that Jumilla didn't have a manager listed for the game and could only find two players for their bench, strange.
SUSPENSIONS AND SANCTIONS
Mazarrón FC will obviously be missing Dani for a game or two but Jumilla will be at full strength.
Match details will be posted on the forum when available.
