Details of the playoffs to decide which of the four teams taking part in the end of season playoffs have yet to be released but I understand that there should be information published on the federation website tomorrow, Tuesday 16th May.
What we do know is that the first legs will be as below
CF Molina will be at home facing FC Cartagena
UD Los Garres will be at home facing Mazarrón FC
During the regular season Mazarrón FC drew 0-0 at home with Los Garres in their second game of the year thereby gaining their first point in a difficult start to the season but by the time our boys got into their stride and we travelled to Los Garres in January it was a different story with Mazarrón FC winning 0-3
In the other game Molina did the double on FC Cartagena winning 0-2 away and 3-1, last Sunday, at home which goes against their final league positions.
If we get through to the second round who would we like to face?
Well it's much of a muchness really as all four game have finished in draws, two 1-1 draws agains FC Cartagena and a 0-0 and 1-1 against Molina so toss a coin, but let's get passed Los Garres first.

PLAYOFF SEMIFINAL 1st LEG
PLAY OFF PREFERENTE AUTONOMICA ELIMINATORIAS - game 1
Scheduled for Sunday 21/05/2017
U.D. LOS GARRES v MAZARRON F.C.
These are all the details we have at the moment, continue to watch this posting for editing.
OUR OPPONENTS GROUND
Los Garres is a small village to the south east of Murcia City, the village, like Mazarron, is split into two distinct areas and the stadium in the middle of the second bit. It is located on Calle Tejeras with coordinates of 37° 57' 44" N, 01° 05' 08" W
There is ample on street parking surrounding the ground with many small restaurants and bars to slake your thirst. Within the ground there is a small canteen and a modern toilet block.
The ground lies 60KM and 44 minutes away from Camposol. The playing surface is artificial and is of reasonable quality. Los Garres play in a green and white striped shirt so Mazarrón should be in their usual red kit.
Details of the Los Amigos supporters away coach will be posted when available.

Good luck and I will be staying up late on a school night for first leg updates. Do away goals count double?

But what about yellow cards? Do the players start afresh for the playoffs or do they carry on from the regular season?

But what about yellow cards? Do the players start afresh for the playoffs or do they carry on from the regular season? This is Dave Capper's view.... "Although bookings in the regular season are not carried forward to the play-offs I understand that if players receive their fifth yellow card in the final game this [last!] weekend they will be suspended for the first leg of the play offs but all other bookings which have not resulted in suspensions will be cleared. This means that Raso, Adrian, Miguel and Raul need to avoid yellow cards this weekend."

And he's right......................
"In the second phase [play-offs], the current cycles of admonitions that have not become suspensions will automatically be cancelled."

SANCTIONS AND SUSPENSIONS
The federation have just released the sanctions from the final round of games in our league and moving forward to the playoffs it appears that of the four teams taking part in those knock out games only Molina have a player who is suspended.
He is Antonio Vera Rivera who is suspended for one game for accumulation of yellow cards.

All to do in the return leg
PLAY-OFF FIRST ROUND/FIRST LEG: UD LOS GARRES 2 - MAZARRON FC 0 (21.5.2017)
Mazarron FC left themselves with a big hurdle to climb if they are to achieve promotion with a 2-0 away defeat to Los Garres in the Play Off Semi Final first leg.
With the late start at 8.30 pm, failing light and an artificial pitch the conditions were not ideal for Mazarron and the home team took control in the early stages with a shot just wide of the target. At the other end Dani wasted a free kick just outside the penalty area, shooting high and wide.
Mazarron’s largest away following for many years were upset by many of the referee’s decisions, failing to penalise the home team for consistent elbowing and shirt pulling. Despite this Mazarron started to push forward and had the better of the closing stages of the first half.
The second period began with the light fading rapidly and less than adequate floodlights and Los Garres again began to take charge of the proceedings. Mazarron continued to hold on until the 69th minute when a free kick was punched away by goalkeeper Juan Pedro only to see Moraga strike the ball back firmly into the net for the opening goal.
Tempers on the pitch were getting heated leading to a barrage of yellow cards being issued for Mazarron while so many Los Garres offences were being ignored, including some very obvious hand balls.
Mazarron tried to push forward in search of an equaliser but were denied by fair means or foul and Los Garres sewed the game up in the 82nd minute. With a number of their players in offside positions Juan Fran put the ball into the net with the referee waving away all Mazarron protests.
Mazarron had one final push forward in search of an away goal but all they could manage was a couple of shots off target. They were not at their best but the tie is not yet over and an early goal in the second leg for Mazarron would set up an exciting evening.

No problems. The big home support and when required the sound of Rowooooool echoing around the town that will surely put the fear of God in the Garres players, and when the big man has picked the splinters from his backside he can score a quick fire hattrick. I recall Steven Naismith coming off the bench and scoring a hattrick for Everton against Chelsea and only a few months later we paid 8.5 million for him. Naismith is officially Donkey number 3 in Yellow in Green.

WELL HERE A TURN UP FOR THE BOOKS ON THE EVE OF MAZARRÓNS MOST IMPORTANT GAME OF THE SEASON
Mazarrón FC have sacked their well respect and admired coach, Jose Sanchez, just 6 days before the second leg of their playoff semifinal against Los Garres.
He will be replaced by Fernando de Alamo for the game.
Jose Sanchez has had a great season in charge since he took over the team and interacted well with all the supporters especially the expat community.
Why has this happened? Watch this space, but it cannot be good for the esprit de corps of the team can it?
