...and you think we've got problems!
I said last week that the Racing Santander players hadn't been paid for several months. As a result, they decided yesterday not to play in today's second leg of the Copa.
A protest from Racing Santander players over unpaid wages forced the abandonment of their Copa del Rey quarter-final against Real Sociedad. They refused to challenge for the ball after their home quarter-final second leg game kicked off. Sociedad won the first leg 3-1, with the winners set to face Barcelona. The protest is expected to mean La Liga side Sociedad are awarded a place in the semi-finals of the Spanish competition. Racing players released a joint statement on Monday announcing they would boycott the tie unless president Angel Lavin and his board stepped down. The home side turned up and completed their warm-up, but after Sociedad kicked off, the Racing players moved in and stood arm in arm around the centre circle, with substitutes and coaching staff lining up in solidarity on the touchline. Sociedad passed the ball between themselves in their own half for a short time before kicking it out for a throw-in, at which point the referee signalled that the match was suspended. Racing players say they have not been paid for several months. (BBC Sport)

OK....it's the big guns tonight.
Semi finals, first legs....
Real Madrid are underway against Atlético Madrid.
17 mins - Atlético score first - but in their own goal! 1-0 to Real.
55 mins - Jesé makes it 2-0. (Great pass from Di Maria)
73 mins - and a wicked deflection gets Di Maria himself on the scoresheet - 3-0.
Final score 3-0. Looks like Di Maria won't be given the goal - so Atlético score two but lose 3-0!
Then at 10 (Spanish) it will be Barca versus Real Sociedad (after Santander were disqualified for refusing to play last week).
Well, it's taken 43 mins but Barca look like going in at the break 1-0 up (Busquets).
And Sociedad go down to 10 men!
59 mins and the third own goal of the evening puts Barca 2-0 up.
And that's how it ends. Not a good game! And only 38,000 there to see it.

Well, that didn't take long!
Di Maria puts Real 1-0 up after 10 mins!
Will this be an 'avalanche'?
And we've already got three yellows on the board after 15 mins! Any bets on not finishing 11 v 11?
68 mins and a most unusual goal for Barca! Xavi swings in the corner and Marc Bartra heads it into the corner of the net! 1-1.
83 mins and the Prince of Wales makes it 2-1 for Real. A superb goal from his own half, outpacing Bartra and slotting it past Pinto.
88 mins and Neymar hits the post - it would have been easier to score!
In the end, Gareth Bale made the difference and Real put another nail in Barca's coffin. Final 2-1.
