AND ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST
League One side Barnsley have sacked manager Danny Wilson and assistant boss Chris Hutchings.
The Tykes are 17th in the table, seven points clear of the relegation zone and seven off the play-off places.
Wilson, who led Barnsley to the Premiership in 1997, returned to Oakwell for a second spell as boss in December 2013, but was unable to stop them being relegated last season.
In a statement, (external) the club called the current league position "unacceptable".

THE DOOR KEEPS REVOLVING
QPR caretaker boss Chris Ramsey has been given the manager's job at the Premier League club until the end of the season.
Ramsey, 52, had been in temporary charge at Loftus Road with director of football Les Ferdinand after Harry Redknapp quit to have knee surgery.

YET ANOTHER MANAGER GETS THE BULLET
Cheltenham Town have parted company with manager Paul Buckle by mutual consent after only 79 days in charge of the League Two club.
The 43-year-old took over from Mark Yates in November, with the Robins 18th in the table.
But they only won once during Buckle's 13-game reign and are one point above the relegation zone.
Academy coach Russell Milton will take caretaker charge of the first team for Saturday's home match against Bury.

ANOTHER ON THE MOVE, A WHAT A SURPRISE.
Manager Mark Warburton will leave Brentford at the end of the season, according to Sky sources.
The promotion-chasing Championship club were expected to make a statement about Warburton's future on Friday afternoon, but that is now expected on Monday.
Warburton has been one of the great success stories of the season. He guided the Bees into the Championship last season, and they have exceeded all expectations by challenging for promotion to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
It was reported on Tuesday that the 52-year-old will not have his rolling contract renewed at the end of the campaign, even if he leads the side into the top flight.
And Brentford executives reportedly met with Rayo Vallecano coach Paco Jemez last week to discuss the possibility of him taking over as manager in the summer.

YET ANOTHER ONE AND NOT A REAL SUPRISE
Tim Sherwood has been appointed manager at Aston Villa, signing a contract at the club until summer 2018.
Villa sacked Paul Lambert on Wednesday after a winless run of 10 league games in which they scored just two goals.
Sherwood, 46, replaced Andre Villas-Boas as Tottenham manager in December 2013 but was sacked at the end of last season and has been out of work since.

Sorry Les
Brentford have confirmed manager Mark Warburton will leave the club at the end of the season. Assistant boss David Weir and sporting director Frank McParland will also depart the Bees, who are currently seventh in the Championship table.
Former City trader Warburton took charge in 2013 and guided the club to promotion from League One last season.
"Every decision I take is intended to be in the best long term interests of the club," said owner Matthew Benham.
"Some of the decisions taken, like this one, have been extremely hard."
Warburton became Brentford boss 14 months ago following Uwe Rosler's departure to Wigan, having previously been sporting director since 2011.

To coin a phrase well loved by our own Tony C. ... onwards and upwards !!!
If Warburton really is to be replaced by Paco Jemez of Rayo Vallecano, that really will set out Benham's stall to be a leading player in London football. And it will confirm his intention to play attractive football.
Here's your trivia question of the day....
Apart from Barcelona, which team has the highest 'possession' stat for the current season in La Liga?
You guessed it, Rayo Vallecano!
Barcelona 70.5%, Rayo Vallecano 58.4%, Real Madrid 58.0%

THE END OF "FERGIE" TIME AT THE 'POSH'
Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson has left the club after Saturday's 3-0 defeat by MK Dons left them 15th in League One.
The Posh have won just one of their last five matches in the league.
In a statement on Peterborough's website, chairman Darragh MacAnthony described Ferguson as "one of the finest managers in our club's history".
"He feels that a new challenge is needed for both himself and the football club," he added.

BANG GOES ANOTHER MANAGER
Manager Steven Pressley has parted company with League One side Coventry City.
The Sky Blues have not won a league game since 3 January and are 21st in the table, a point from safety.
Neil MacFarlane and former Leeds head coach Dave Hockaday have been placed in temporary charge.

NEXT ONE
League One side Barnsley are set to appoint Oldham manager Lee Johnson as their new boss, BBC Radio Sheffield reports.
Johnson, 33, was in the crowd at last night's 1-0 win over Scunthorpe, and the "minor details" of a compensation package are being finalised.
Barnsley have been without a manager since sacking Danny Wilson on 12 February.

SO THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM
Former Liverpool and Republic of Ireland defender Phil Babb has left his job as manager of Conference South club Hayes & Yeading by mutual consent.
The 44-year-old departs after almost two years in charge, with the team just one place above the relegation zone following Tuesday's defeat by Gosport Borough.
"Sometimes things don't work out and changes need to be made," chairman Tony O'Driscoll told the club website.

Welling sack manager after 73 days
Ex-Leeds United coach Darko Milanic's gong for English football's shortest reign of the season is safe - but here's another one to make the shortlist.
Conference club Welling United sack manager Jody Brown after just 73 days.
A club statement said "the board felt they had to act immediately" after a run of one point from nine games.

THE DREADED VOTE OF CONFIDENCE
Millwall insist manager Ian Holloway will remain in charge for the rest of the season.
But if he does get the chop he would be great as the "after dinner speaker" at the Los Amigos gala night next year.
