The Murcian selection category will dispute on 6 and 7 December, qualifying games for the IX Copa regions of UEFA that on this occasion is disputed in Ceuta. This group, directed by Felipe Cano and made up of players who are active in the 13th group of the third Division, will dispute its first match on Friday December 6 at 5 p.m. to Ceuta, while on Saturday 7, at noon, it will be against the Principality of Asturias. Murcia is a clear candidate to organize the finals of the UEFA Copa de las Regiones from 16 to 18 April, 2014, where also the selections of the Basque country, Andalusia, Castile and Leon and Catalonia have been classified. Last weekend was the qualifying place in venues throughout Spain. The Murcian team of Felipe Cano, who played at Ceuta, beat the host (0-3) and Asturias (1-0). Furthermore, the Basque selection went through after defeating the Canary Islands and tie against Cantabria; the Andalusian selection won against Melilla and drew against Madrid; just like Castile and Leon, who won against Valencia and tied with Castilla-La Mancha; the Catalan selection beat the Aragon team and tied with the Balearic Islands team. According to the regulatory rules of the competition, the winners of groups B and D must meet in an intermediate phase to complete the list of classified teams for the final stage. The Basque selection and the Castilla y León team will be rescheduled for this phase before February 28 in an eliminator on a home an away basis. (FFRM)
