The derby in Seville is always a good watch. And tonight is no exception.
Blood and thunder but still 0-0 at half-time.
Snr Fernandez with the whistle is doing well to keep 22 players on the pitch.
Nearly 11 pm there and still 22°.
It's gonna be a hot second half.
Great fun.
51 mins....it just had to be a messy goal to break the deadlock.
Free kick from Nasri...Mercado pushed over in the box... the ball hits him and goes in off the goalkeeper!
Sevilla 1-0 Real Betis
5 mins to go and it's 11 v 11....fisticuffs in the middle (apparently, the correct word is a 'tangana')!
Three more yellows, making the total now 9!
Fantastic game.
Final score 1-0.

Could be an interesting evening!
Real only draw against Villarreal and Barca are up against Atlético.
BUT....
The Barca stream is down!
So it'll have to be the local-ish derby UCAM-Murcia vs Almeria in the meantime!
And it looks to be a hot and humid evening in La Condomina.
Half an hour gone and UCAM are 1-0 up.
Sorry UCAM....the Barca stream is back!
Just in time too!
40 mins...Iniesta cross, Rakatic jumps and the ball is in the net. Not often you say the Atléti defence is AWOL. 1-0
So it's half-time at both Nou Camp and Condomina with the scores at 1-0.
60 mins and there are goals at both!
Good news in Murcia as UCAM go 2-0 up with a penalty.
At the Nou Camp, Busquets and Messi are both off with injuries and Correa gets an equaliser for Atléti. 1-1.
69 mins and UCAM get a third. Up into the play-off places with this win.

Sunday 2nd.
It could be all change at the top tonight!
Early results:
Valencia CF 0-2 Club Atlético de Madrid Real Madrid CF 1-1 SD Eibar
So, as it stands, the table looks like this:
1 Club Atlético de Madrid 15 pts 2 Real Madrid CF 15 pts 3 Sevilla FC 14 pts 4 FC Barcelona 13 pts
Meaning that a Barcelona victory at Celta Vigo in half an hour's time will send them clear at the top.

..but after 21 mins, Sisto puts Celta 1-0 up!
30 mins...a superb solo goal by Iago Aspes makes it 2-0.
32 mins...what a mess...a Matthieu own goal makes it 3-0!
The saviour has arrived! Iniesta gets his 600th game for Barca.
57 mins...and he puts his mark on the game. Iniesta to Pique...no Celta defence and it's 3-1.
63 mins...a stupid shirt pull gives Barca a real lifeline!
Neymar buries the penalty and it's 3-2.
25 mins of high drama to come.
68 mins...Celta are living dangerously. Another shirt-pull (on Neymar) in the box is missed by the officials!
76 mins...where's Joe Hart when you need him? Ter Stegen too casual in playing out from his goal area and the ball rebounds in to make it 4-2.
86 mins...Denis Suarez determined to get the ball in and Pique's on the end of it. 4-3.
And that's that!
23 September 2015...Celta Vigo 4-1 Barcelona.
2 October 2016...Celta Vigo 4-3 Barcelona.
They certainly know how to beat Luis Enrique up there.

A bit of a mis-match tonight!
Barca vs Granada.
22 games at at the Nou Camp, 22 defeats!
One important interest in the Granada team....Jon Toral, spent most of last season at Brentford and still officially an Arsenal player!
And they line up in a 9-1 system!
Which does the job!
Half-time 0-0.
48 mins and the deadlock is broken.
Suarez to Messi to Neymar...hits the post...overhead from Rafinha finds the net.
1-0.
Barca scrape the 3 points.

ON WAY TO A TEAM NEAR YOU SOON
GUS POYET looks set to be sacked as Real Betis manager after just 11 games in charge.
The former Sunderland and Brighton boss has made a poor start to life in Spain, with the club just two points off the drop.
Betis finished 10th in La Liga last season and the club were expected to built on that under Poyet.
But they have just 11 points from as many games, with a number of dreadful results such as a 6-1 loss at home to Real Madrid and a 6-2 defeat at Barcelona. Last weekend’s 2-0 loss at Villarreal was the final straw for fans’ group Gol Sur 1907.
Two days ago they issued a statement saying: “Either Poyet goes or we do.” And that appears to have forced the club’s hand, with Betis president Angel Haro saying: “The board is studying the matter and working on the situation. The fans can relax.”
Former Chelsea and Tottenham star Poyet started his managerial career at Brighton, where he led the club to promotion from League One and a Championship play-off semi-final.
He left the Seagulls by mutual consent after disagreements with the club’s board and took over at Sunderland midway through the season and saved them from relegation.
He was sacked at the Stadium of Light the following season after a 4-0 loss at home to Aston Villa.
The Uruguayan then enjoyed a successful spell at AEK Athens but was sacked in April this year after announcing, before the Greek Cup semi-final, that he would leave the club at the end of the season.
