IT'S THE BIG ONE
BALA AZUL v MAZARRON FC
SUNDAY 29th NOVEMBER
Kick off 5pm (17.00)
I am informed by Jose that this game will be played at Bala Azul's home ground in the port, the estadio Playasol, and not on the plastic pitches where they have played all their home games up to now this season.
It will be interesting to see what condition the ground will be in after it has been neglected for a season.

MATCH LOCATION
Although the Murcian Federation have said that the game will be played at the COMPLEJO DEPORTIVO DE MAZARRON I am assured by our club president that it will indeed be played at Bala Azul's home ground in the port, Estadio Plyasol.

SANCTIONS & SUSPENSIONS
The only suspension recorded on the federation site is a 6 match ban for Bala Azul striker and our old player Jose Da for spitting at an opposion player and then abusing the ref.
It's a pity about this young lad who had such potential but has recently lost his way.

MATCH REPORT
with thanks to the reporter and Dave Capper (editor in chief)
CD BALA AZUL 0 MAZARRON FC 1
Mazarron got back to winning ways when a late goal from Palote gave them the three points against neighbours Bala Azul.
The game began with the home team on the defensive and happy to concede possession to Mazarron relying on breakaways. Hafid had an early shot for Mazarron deflected for a corner from which Juan Andreo fired over the crossbar.
Mazarron had a number of further corners which kept the Bala keeper under constant pressure but still a goal would not come.
Eventually, after 40 minutes Palote at last put the ball in the net but Mazarron's celebrations were shortlived as the goal was cancelled out for offside. Palote and Jose were combining well together but the final pass was just missing.
The half came to a close with Champi shooting wide and Mazarron wondering how they had not taken the lead. Mounir and Rollon were replaced by Alfonso and new signing Willy at the start of the second half and Mazarron continued to press forward with Bala still relying on rare breaks. Willy made a good early impression first on the right and then when moved over to the left with some good crosses.
Hafid shot over the bar and a good move between Palote and Jose was ended by an offside flag. The Bala keeper made a number of really good saves but a breakaway in the 70th minute almost gave the home team the lead but the ball was scrambled clear.
Mazarron were again denied a goal by an offside flag and Bala Azul were happy to play out time, attempting to break up play at every opportunity with a series of timewasting measures, However, the deadlock was broken in the last minute of normal time when Palote picked up the ball in midfield and ran on to round the keeper and fire into an empty net.
The goal was greeted by mass celebrations by team and supporters alike but the tension continued as the referee then played a further ten minutes of extra time before finally blowing the final whistle.
Mazarron's win took them to seventh place in the league just two points from second place.
Team Antonio; Mounir (Alfonso); Juan Fran (Juanito); Juan Andreo; Alberto; Champi; Juanlu (Cristian); Hafid; Rollon (Willy); Jose; Palote.
Man of the Match: Juanlu
