So next up we are scheduled to play Club Deportivo Esparragal on Sunday 1st December. They tend to play their home game on a Sunday and to my knowledge this is the first time we have met Club Deportivo Esparragal. Club Deportivo Esparragal were promoted last season when they finished champions of the segunda autonomica. They play in white shirts and blue shorts so we should be in our changed BLUE strip for the game. The pitch that we will be playing on has an artificial surface which often suits Mazarrons slick, free flowing passing game. The distance to Club Deportivo Esparragal is 64km and will take about 50 minutes to get there. I will publish direction to the ground for those of you who are travelling under their own steam in the next couple of days. Last time out the score was C.D. ESPARRAGAL 1 v CHURRA E.D.M.F. 3 C.D. ESPARRAGAL stats are Played 10 Won 2 Drawn 2 Lost 6 Goals for 13 goals against 26 points 8 and they are in 17th place out of 18 in the league. I'll publish more info and the sanction/suspensions as I get them.

If you are travelling under your own steam to our next away game the location is very simple to find.
Join the A7 motorway at Alhama and travel to Murcia. Follow the motorway until you just pass the Nueva Condomina shoping centre and the Real Murcia football ground.
Take junction 760 of the motorway and go straight on at the traffic island some 200 metres down the slip road.
Stay on this road for about 2 km until it joins the A4, in fact you will join it by simply going straight ahead, the roads just merge.
At the next traffic island follow the signs for N340/El Esparragal/Murcia/Alicante
At the next traffic island take the first right and follow signs for N340/El Esparragal/Murcia.
After a further 2km or so turn left at the single storey, orange coloured building with the sign post saying El Esparragal/H Consultor/officina municipal.
You will now be driving into the village and at the Y junction at the church with the tower take a left. and then after only 20 metres or so left again and the ground is on the left.
The map co ordinates for the ground are 38° 02' 14" N, 01° 04' 36" W just pop these into google maps to see the location of the ground.
From what I can see it should be free entry as you can watch the game from the street over the low wall or from the car park. There appears to be little or no seating but I cannot view all of this neat little ground.

FINAL SCORE
C. D. ESPARRAGAL 4 v MAZARRON FC 5
From the scoreline you would think that this was a close game, well it wasn't. Mazarron FC controlled the majority of the game and only two stupid defensive errors, a stunning goal by the home team and a controversial late penalty made this score respectable the home side.
The scoring went something like this.
Mazarron FC failed to take advantage of early pressure with both Jose Ruben and Alcon guilty of misses before a defensive laps let in Esparragal for a soft goal although Rubens who was between the sticks today could have done better. 1-0
Mazarron FC equalised when Jose Rubens made up for the earlier miss by bringing a long high ball down in one movement before turning and scoring a great goal. 1-1
I had just only been saying how excellent Dani, operating as left back, was doing this season after moving up from the juvenile team when he slip and let in the Esparragal attacker and again Rubens did little to prevent the ball crossing the line. 2-1
Next up it was Alcon who took a ball down on his chest span round and buried the shot passed the stranded keeper. 2-2
Mazarron FC then got their nose in front when Alcon delightfully lobbed the onrushing home keeper and the ball nestled into the back of the net. 2-3
Then perhaps the best goal of the game came from Esparragal, the ball was hit on the volley from well outside of the area and Rubens didn't even move as the net bulged. 3-3
Next up was Moha heading in a beautifully flighted ball passed the stranded keeper to make it 3-4
Then that tower of strength they call Cecillo hammer the 5th Mazarron FC goal with minutes to go. 3-5
As time was nearly up Ruben's was caught out yet again and Alfonso came to his rescue chesting the ball away for a corner BUT the ref awarded a penalty for a hand ball!!!!!!! which was duly dispatched. 4-5
The final whistle brought pandemonium as the officials were jostled by the Esparragal players with their keeper being sent off AFTER time was called.
So a good all round performance by Mazarron FC who need to tighten up at the back and this goal keeping position needs closer examination.
As a footnote, the linesman on our side of the pitch was the same linesman who, two weeks ago, failed to flag for a blatant offside at Alberca who then went onto beat us due to this illegal goal. The thoughts of some of the travelling Mazarron FC fans were made very clear to this inadequate, unprofessional and completely useless official who was clearly out of his depth again today, even the club president Jose gave him the sharp edge of his tongue.
It is to be noted that an official from the Federation was at the game to asses the standard of the officials and to see if Mazarron FC get a fair "rub of the green" I would love to read that report.
Final score
El Esparragal 4 Mazarron FC 5
The above are the personal thoughts of mine, you might have seen a different game.
We await other results to see where this takes us in the league.
MOTM A well deserved Cecillio, even though he only came on at half time

Although we are waiting for our games results to be published but taking into consideration everyone else's results in our league, which have been published, I reckon Mazarron FC move into 8th place from 11th but that's only 2 points off 3rd place which is an automatic promotion position.
Onwards and upwards.

The fall out from last weekends game continues following the publishing of the sanctions for this weeken. Obviously heated words were exchanged between 2 players and the ref at the end of the game as here is what happened.
3 MATCH BAN
JUAN FRANCISCO GARCIA PEÑARANDA ONE GAME SUSPENSION FOR BEING DIRECTED TO REFEREE IN TERMS AND ATTITUDE OF CONTEMPT AND TWO MORE FOR ADDRESSING THE REFEREE IN TERMS OF CONTEMPT AND ATTITUDE AS SEQUENCE OF A COUNCIL DECISION OF THIS. (Art.130-C AND PARAGRAPH TWO)
ONE MATCH BAN
NAVARRO FRANCISCO SERRANO DIRECTED BY THE REFEREE IN TERMS AND ATTITUDE OF CONTEMPT. (Art.130-C)
And the moral of the story is, don't argue with the ref, you will never win.
