Fabio Cannavaro, Lilian Thuram and Gianfranco Zola are just a few of the greats to have played for Parma, but this week the club's players could face the harsh reality of having to pay for their own transport.
Serie A's bottom club are in dire straits financially. Their players have not been paid all season and the club, which has changed hands twice in two months, is in danger of not finishing the campaign.
Their home match against Udinese was called off on Sunday as they could not afford to pay for stewards or police.
"It's like being in a film. We've seen everything you could possibly imagine, with four different presidents this season," club captain Allessandro Lucarelli told Radio Anch'io.
"Today, we are starting our preparations for the match against Genoa and if there isn't a bus we'll get five or six cars together and travel in them."

The Greek government has suspended professional football in the country indefinitely in a crackdown on violence.
The move follows violence at a match between rivals Olympiakos and Panathinaikos, as well as a brawl between club officials at a board meeting on Tuesday.
The Greek league has already been suspended twice this season because of violence.
*First the € problems now football, where will it all end?*

Today's (19/3) update on Parma................
"Parma can complete Serie A season despite bankruptcy
Serie A club Parma have been declared bankrupt by a court in Italy but will be allowed to see out of the season. The club's debts are estimated at nearly 75m euros (£54m). Giampietro Manenti promised to clear the debts when he took over as chairman last month but he was arrested on Wednesday after being accused of involvement in a credit card scam. The Italian league has allocated 5m euro (£3.6m) so the league's bottom club can fulfil their fixtures. (BBC Sport)"

MORE NEWS ON PARMA or HOW THE MIGHTY HAVE FALLEN
Bankrupt club Parma will have to play in the FOURTH tier of Italian football after no buyer was found by the deadline.
Parma's hopes of avoiding demotion to the amateur division were all but ended when former Major League Baseball player Mike Piazza pulled out of talks to buy the club.
In March, Parma were declared bankrupt with debts of more than 200 million euros.
The club finished bottom of Serie A last season.

AND ANOTHER MIGHTY CLUB HITS THE BUFFERS
Hard times for CSKA
Bulgaria's most successful club CSKA Sofia will relaunch from the third division following their financial crisis.
The decision marks a spectacular fall from grace for CSKA, who have won 31 league titles and reached three European semi-finals in happier times between 1967 and 1989.
"CSKA can only play in the amateur championship," Bulgaria's football union said in a statement.
Former Bulgaria coach Plamen Markov, CSKA's sporting director, said: "We don't even think for a moment that we'll not return to professional football."

THIS IS WHAT YOU CALL A STUFFING
We've all had bad days on the pitch - but none quite as bad as JK Raudteetoolised.
The club from Estonia's lowest footballing league have been walloped 31-0 by top-flight outfit Paide Linnameeskond.
Raudteetoolised were 19-0 down by half-time but managed to stem the flow after the break - conceding just the 12.
Linnameeskond midfielder Sander Sinilaid helped himself to eight goals, while attacker Sander Roivassepp went one better and scored nine times.
Still, at least the Raudteetoolised players saw the funny side, posing for a team photo after the final whistle...

EVEN WORSE
A football team have been beaten 46-0 in one of the most lopsided games ever seen in international football.
Micronesia's drubbing by Vanuatu followed a 38-0 loss to Fiji and a 30-0 score line against Tahiti at the Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea.
It meant the Federated States of Micronesia conceded a total of 114 goals in their three group matches.

NO DRONES WITH UNION FLAG AT MAZARRON NEXT SEASON PLEASE
Albania have been awarded a 3-0 win over Serbia after their Euro 2016 qualifier in October was abandoned after a drone with a political message flew over the Belgrade stadium.
The Serbs had initially been awarded a 3-0 walkover by Uefa, because the drone had a pro-Albania flag, although they were deducted three points.
But the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) has decided the abandonment was because of the violent reaction from Serbian fans and stewards.
Serbia's three-point deduction stands, so they are now on minus-two points.

Players in Greece set to strike
Players in Greece are to go on strike indefinitely from next week, the Greek Professional Soccer Players' Association (PSAP) say.
The Hellenic Football Federation (EPO) and top two leagues -- The Super League and The Football League -- have failed to keep to an agreement made two years ago to create a special relief fund to compensate players who have been released by financially-troubled teams, PSAP said in a statement.
The strike action will begin with the Greek Cup third round matches from 15-17 December and continue with the next rounds of Super League and second division which are scheduled to take place from 19-21 December.

FOOTBALL OF THE AMERICAN KIND
This is one match you didn't want to forget your woolly gloves and hat for.
Fans, players and officials braved one of the coldest NFL games in history as Minnesota Vikings lost to Seattle Seahawks in an NFC Wild Card game.
Sunday's temperatures were -21C (-31C wind chill) at kick-off, making it the joint third coldest game in history. It was so extreme that free hand warmers and coffee were handed out to fans before the game.
Supporters were encouraged to bring blankets and "styrofoam, cardboard or newspapers to place under their feet" to prevent prolonged contact with the concrete floor in the stands.
Blimey, now that's cold.

Novellino won one point from his four games and leaves with Palermo in the Serie A drop zone with six games left. (BBC Sport)"
