NEXT HOME GAME
For the second week on the trot we will be at home but this time the opposition will be made of sterner stuff than last weekend.
MAZARRON FC v BENIAJAN CF
Kickoff 4.30pm Sunday 25th January 2015
We will need to be on top form for the clash against Beniajan CF who sit in 2nd place in the league, but there is no reason why we shouldn't take the three points on offer after all we came so close to an upset at their place when we met in September.
That day a goal in the third minute of injury time denied Mazarron a point at Beniajan. Both sides went in to the game with 100% records but the difference was Mazarron keeper Conejo making two excellent saves in the first five minutes on a terrible bouncy artificial surface.
As the game progressed Mazarron began to come more into the game and after 30 minutes a shot rebounded to Tolo who found the net but he was clearly in an offside position. Then Chema and Cristian combined well with Cristian headed just over the bar.
The last 15 minutes were played in almost complete darkness due to the floodlights at Beniajan being totally inadequate and the use of a dark ball didn't help. Nevertheless Mazarron continued to push on for the points with Conejo excellent in goal. But it was Beniajan who took the points to go top of the league in the 93rd minute from a disputed corner when they forced the ball home at the far post.
An unfair result as Mazarron deserved something out of the game for their hard work and commitment.
LAST WEEKEND

Meanwhile Mazarron FC stormed to a great home win against AD Sucina with a final score of Mazarron FC 4 AD Sucina 0. All of Mazarron's goals were score by Tolo. This result places Mazarron FC in 4th place, handily placed in one of the playoff positions.
