NEXT GAME
Following two consecutive away games Mazarron FC now embark on two back to back home games. The first being:-
Mazarron FC v AD Sucina
Kickoff 4.30pm (16.30) Sunday 18th January 2015
This is the type of game that Mazarron FC needs to win if they have any ambition of promotion this season.
The corresponding away fixture last September finished in a 1-3 away win for Mazarron FC although the result wasn't always certain until the second half of the game.
Mazarron had to come back from behind to beat AD Sucina even after the game got off to an explosive start when the Sucina goalkeeper was shown a red card after just 6 minutes for denying Tolo a certain goal by handling outside of the area.
AD Sucina took advantage of errors in the Mazarron defence to take the lead after 22 minutes.
In the second half Mazarron started to play the ball on the ground with some excellent passing movements and took control of the game. After 60 minutes, Mazarron equalised from a short corner when the ball was headed in by Cristian.
Mazarron took the lead after 75 minutes when Chema raced clear down the right and he drove the ball into the corner of the net from a narrow angle.
Tolo sealed the three points for Mazarron in the last few minutes when he beat the retreating Sucina defence before rounding the keeper and slotting the ball home.
CURRENT FORM
AD Sucina are not having the best of seasons this year as they currently occupy the 18th and bottom place in the league. They have only two wins all season and have a minus 24 goal difference. Their top marksman is Mohammed Bouras with just 4 goals.
Last weekend they were at home to high flying Beniajan and there was only going to be one out come there, and that was a 1-2 away win for Beniajan.
Meanwhile Mazarron FC travelled to Yecla and despite being short of three key players the result was a fine 2-3 win for Mazarron FC, a Tolo hat trick, but the score doesn't reflect the dominance of our boys during the game.
This result takes Mazarron FC into 5th place.
New boys Toni and Habbi made their debut and gave a good account of themselves.
CURRENT STATS
6. MAZARRON FC P 18 W 9 D 4 L 5 GF 30 GA 23 Points 31
18 AD SUCINA P 18 W 2 D 3 L 13 GF 16 GA 40 Points 9
SANCTIONS/SUSPENSIONS
For this game Mazarron FC should welcome back two influential players cruelly suspended by the federation following the battle of Lumbreras. They are our terrier like right back Juan Lorca and our midfield enforcer MANU, they were both sorely missed last weekend. But we will still be missing Antonio who is still sitting out his 4 game suspension. Details of Sucina's absentees will be posted on the forum as soon as I get them.
