NEXT (AWAY) GAME
CD ALBERCA v MAZARRON FC
Scheduled for:
SATURDAY 13th or SUNDAY 14th DECEMBER 2014 (Exact detail will be published here when available)
For Mazarron FC final away game of 2014 we travel to our old friends Alberca who we seem to come across no matter what league we play in.
In the past honours have gone both ways with wins at home and away for both sides but are games that are normally played in a good atmosphere and where the football takes centre stage.
This season Alberca are fairing better than Mazarron FC and they currently sit in one of the playoff positions.
Last weekend they travelled to bottom side Sucina and recorded a 0-3 win. That's 3 wins on the bounce but that was preceded by 3 consecutive defeats.
CURRENT STATS:
4 CD ALBERCA P 14 W 8 D 3 L 3 GF 27 GA 20 Points 27 7 MAZARRON FC P 14 W 6 D 3 L 5 GF 21 GA 17 Points 21
CD Alberca's main threat comes from Antonio Perez and Javier Rivera who have scored 8 & 7 goals respectively.
CD Alberca play at the Polidep. Municipal de la Alberca and excellent small community stadium situated to the south East of Murcia. The ground has an artificial surface, seating down both sides of the ground with excellent canteen facilities and a modern toilet block. The distance to the ground is 55km and will take 45 minutes.
CD Alberca play their home games in RED so we should be in BLUE.

Final score CD Alberca 1 Mazarron FC 1. Goalscorer was Tolo and Manu harshly sent off for 2nd yellow card.
Good battling performance but referee and linesmen have another bad day at the office.

CD ALBERCA 1 MAZARRON FC 1
Mazarron gave a much improved and battling performance against fourth placed CD Alberca and earned a deserved 1-1 draw.
Alberca almost took the lead in the sixth minute when their striker dribbled round Conejo in the Mazarron goal only to lose his footing as he was about to shoot. Mazarron’s first attempt on goal did not come until the 21st minute when Manu’s free kick was deflected for a corner. Monty’s flag kick was scrambled clear by Alberca with Mazarron appealing for a penalty for handball.
Monty and Tolo then combined well but Tolo’s shot was saved by the keeper. After 30 minutes Tolo’s through ball put Manu in the clear but his shot was turned round the post for a corner. At the other end a tremendous goalmouth scramble saw Mazarron defenders blocking three shots in succession before the ball was finally cleared.
Alberca came more into the game and Conejo had to be alert in the Mazarron goal with two excellent saves. Enrique was injured and replaced by Cristian in a bizarre incident. Cristian came onto the field only to be asked by the referee to remove a shirt which he had on under his blue Mazarron shirt. The linesman clearly signalled that it was OK for him to come back on to the field of play only for the referee to show Cristian a yellow card much to the anger of the Mazarron supporters who were directly behind the incident.
Conejo was again in action in the early stages of the second half making two more good saves before three Mazarron players were booked in succession for complaining about a decision by the referee. After 61 minutes an attempted clearance by Lorca struck Mateo, his own player, on the back and rebounded just wide of the post for a corner to Alberca.
Tolo was again Mazarron’s main threat up front and he had two good efforts saved, the second in the 65th minute when, following a free kick by Dani, he swivelled to hit a right foot shot just wide. Conejo then had to dive smartly to his right to foil an Alberca attack before Tolo hit a fierce drive which was scrambled around the post for a corner by the Alberca keeper.
Alberca took the lead after 79 minutes when Perez slipped inside Lorca before sliding the ball past Conejo. The lead was short lived as the irrepressible Tolo burst through the Alberca defence before firing home the equaliser for his tenth goal of the season. Manu was sent off for a second yellow card but Mazarron managed to hold out for the rest of the game including 7 minutes of added time.
Team: Conejo, Alfonso, Enrique (Cristian), Dani, Lorca, Juanillo, Mateo, Monty, Manu, Diego (Israel), Tolo
Man of the Match: Conejo

Why did their man get a red card Dave?

Dave emailed me to say the Alberca lad was red carded 'off the bench' when he was substituted. Must have 'gobbed off' at the ref or linesman.
