NEXT GAME
ESPINARDO ATLÉTICO v MAZARRÓN F.C.
Saturday 29th or Sunday 30th November
Watch this space for details.
Espinardo Atletico are another side promoted from a low position last season from the Segunda Autonomica having finished 7th. But they do seem to have a bit more about them than last weekends opponents and are holding their own in this higher division.
Espinardo Atletico play their games at the "LAS CANTERAS" stadium in EL PUNTAL Murcia. The location, for those independently travelling and who have a sat nav can be found at ( 38° 01' 10" N, 01° 08' 46" W ) † and is situated in the northern suburbs of Murcia.
This modern small stadium had an artificial surface, limited seating down one side, a new changing room block with toilet facilities and appears to have a small canteen. The ground is 56 KM from Camposol some 37 minutes away and has parking outside of the stadium.
Espinardo Atletico play in a white shirt with a black vertical stripe so we should be in our red strip for this game,
Details of actual timings of this game, suspensions and other team news will be published here as soon as we get them.

Next weekends opponents could only draw 0-0 against bottom club Sucina today, 23.11.14, and thereby miss the oppertunity to draw level with Mazarron FC and in the prosses had 4 players booked.
Here are the current stats for both teams:
4 MAZARRON F.C. P 12 W 6 D 3 L 3 GF 20 GA 12 Points 21 7 ESPINARDO P 11 W 6 D 1 L 4 GF 17 GA 18 Points 19

STRANGE
The stats that I posted above are as the table posted by the federation (FFRM) But if you actually go the Espinardo's page on the FFRM site and add up all the games, results, points etc. Their statistics should read:
P 12 W 6 D 2 L 4 GF 17 GA 18 Points 20 (not 19)
For some reason they haven't added the 0-0 drawn game against Los Alcazares from a few week ago, I wonder why?

I've been waiting for something to happen about that game. The Fed detail does not have a 'finalizado' on the page. With one red card shown, I wonder if it failed to finish. Although normally they would show a 'suspendido' if that were the case. Weird!

SUSPENSIONS/SANCTIONS
At this time Mazarron FC have a full team to select from.

With no goals to his name he is either a defender or a very bad striker :-)

ESPINARDO ATLETICO 2 MAZARRON FC 0
Mazarron dropped out of the play-off positions with a 2-0 defeat away to Espinardo Atletico despite having 75% of possession in a game played on an artificial surface which barely confirmed to the minimum width regulations.
Without Antonio Jose and Mateo at the back, Mazarron had to play juvenile midfielder Andreo as a central defender alongside Dani with four other juveniles also on the substitutes bench.
Mazarron were cheered on by a good number of supporters in appalling weather conditions, the constant driving rain making life difficult for players and spectators alike. Liders shot wide after just two minutes and Mazarron then forced two corners both of which came to nothing. At the other end an Espinardo free kick was easily saved by Conejo and a mistake by Lorca let in one of the home strikers who shot against the cross bar.
Espinardo took the lead after 20 minutes when Dani misjudged the pace of a through ball allowing Alejandro to run on, round Conejo and place the ball into an empty net. Thereafter, it was all Mazarron with Tolo almost scoring on two occasions, once when he superbly rounded the last defender before seeing his shot smothered by the Espinardo keeper.
Monty’s free kick after 28 minutes was just too high and then, a minute later a superb free kick from Alfonso crashed against the bar before rebounding to Monty who volleyed over. Espinardo went close when a free kick was headed just wide before Tolo unleashed a left foot shot from outside the penalty area which was touched around the post for a corner by the home keeper.
Mazarron continued to dominate in the early stages of the second half forcing numerous corners, all of which were headed clear by the strong Espinardo defence. Tolo was always in the thick of the action and once again came close when he volleyed Monty’s free kick only to see it rebound off a defender when goalbound.
Little was seen of Espinardo as an attacking force but their defence kept a tight rein on the Mazarron forwards with three men in attendance every time Tolo had the ball. The home team committed numerous fouls outside the penalty area but Mazarron were unable to convert any of the resulting free-licks although Lider’s left foot effort was headed off the line for a corner.
With five minutes to go the referee awarded a free kick to Espinardo on the right and Gonzalez rose unchallenged to place a firm header past Conejo to make the final score 2-0.
Team: Conejo, Alfonso (Jhony), Andreo, Dani, Lorca, Juanillo (Stevens), Monty, Liders, Manu (Cristian), Diego, Tolo.
Man of the Match: Lorca
