BENIAJAN CF v MAZARRON FC
This game is scheduled to be played on Sunday 21st September and is the second of two consequtive away fictures. Exact times and dates will be published here as soon as I get them. But Beniajan did play their first game of this season at home on a Saturday.
Last weekend Beniajan played in Mazarron against SC Mazarron winning 1-2 but having one of their goal scorers sent off.
Mazarron FC played Beniajan twice last season losing both games, 3-2 away and 3-5 at home but in all honesty the second defeat can be put down to Javi having a look at some young players in readiness for this season in the knowledge that we had secured a safe mid table position.
For independent travellers Beniajan CF play at the "LOS MARQUES" stadium and the co ordinates are 37° 57' 53" N, 01° 04' 08" W and there is plenty of parking available.
The surface is artificial. There is seating at the ground but no shade, hats required, the facilities are modern with a toilet block for fans and a small canteen.
Beniajans home strip is yellow shirts and blue shorts so we should be playing in RED.
The distance to the ground is 63KM from Camposol and will take just under an hour. Coach details will be published here as soon as I get them.
Following last weekend fine wins for both sides we both sit on 6 points and here are the current stats for both sides:-
2nd Mazarron FC P 2 W 2 D 0 L O GF 7 GA 1 Points 6 3rd Beniajan CF P 2 W 2 D 0 L 0 GF 5 GA 1 Points 6
So it's nip and tuck between the two sides at the moment.

Although we don't have any suspensions for the Beniajan game we do have three players missing who are injured.
They are: Enrique, Israel and Diego. The latter, I think, hasn't played for us yet this season after picking up an injury in the pre season game against Cartagena juveniles.
The rest of the team is fit and ready to go.

ROBBED BENIAJAN 1 MAZARRON FC 0 3 minutes into injury time Mazarron FC were robbed of a deserved point. The full match report will appear here soon but just watch the home results for Beniajan this season. They have an unfair advantage on a minute pitch who's artificial surface must have been laid over 10 years ago and who's bounce was either non existent or only bounced once, the pitch had inlaid marking for other sport which effected the run of the ball. The flood lights were a joke and the balls they were using were so old they were almost black and with the poor lighting.................... Beniajan train in these condition every week so are use to them. I only wonder what the linesman on our side was flagging for when they score the goal, an infringement? What ever it was the 'home' ref waved it away. ROBBED

BENIAJAN CF 1 MAZARRON FC 0
A goal in the third minute of injury time denied a hard-working Mazarron a point in this top of the table clash at Beniajan.
Both sides went in to the game with 100% records but it was Beniajan who dominated the early stages with Mazarron goalkeeper Conejo making two excellent saves in the first five minutes. Mazarron without the injured Israel and Enrique in midfield struggled to get to grips with the bouncy artificial surface in the first half.
Twice the speedy Beniajan right winger burst clear, on the first occasion mis-hitting his shot completely and then hitting a firm drive just wide of the far post. Mazarron began to come more into the game and after 30 minutes Cristian’s poor shot rebounded to Tolo who found the net but he was clearly in an offside position. Five minutes later Chema and Cristian combined well on the left and from Chema’s cross Cristian headed just over the bar.
The young Andreo replaced Martin at half time and certainly added some bite into the midfield area, winning numerous tackles and headers. After 52 minutes Cristian’s free kick from 25 yards was just over the bar but five minutes later Lorca made an excellent goal liner clearance following a Beniajan corner.
A left wing free kick from Liders caused panic in the Beniajan defence and evaded everyone before the referee blew for offside. At the other end Beniajan almost took the lead with a fierce drive from 30 yards which sailed just over the bar. Then Cristian combined with substitute Juanillo whose shot was saved by the Beniajan keeper.
The last 15 minutes were played in almost complete darkness. The floodlights at Beniajan are totally inadequate and the use of a dark ball made it virtually impossible for spectators to follow the play. Nevertheless Mazarron continued to play spiritedly with Conejo excellent in goal. However, Beniajan took the points to go top of the league in the 93rd minute when, following two right wing corners, they forced the ball home at the far post.
On the balance of play it could be argued that it was a fair result but Mazarron deserved something out of the game for their hard work and commitment which augurs well for the rest of the season.
Team: Conejo, Lorca (Javi), Antonio Jose, Dani, Said, Alfonso (Juanillo), Martin (Andreo), Liders, Chema (Damian), Cristian, Tolo
Man of the Match: Conejo

Following on from the Beniajan smash and grab raid/robbery yesterday there was a number of injuries to Mazarron FC players caused by heavy handed tackling and foul play by the home side this has resulted in the following.
ISRAEL will be out for two weeks following a nasty kick he received the other weekend. JOSE ANTONIO had to go off after a foul upon him resulting in a knee injury. JOSE LORCA was kicked in the head whilst going for the ball near the end of the game (of course no yellow card there) and after 20 minutes required further medical treatment for extreme headaches
Jose is hoping that the last two player recover in time for next weekends game.
