NOTTINGHAMSHIRE v SHEFFIELD Notts. County will travel to Sheffield Wednesday. For Mansfield Town, League One Sheffield United will be their opponents. The ties will be played on the week commencing August 11. Notts were unseeded in the northern section of the draw, pitting them against one of 17 seeded opponents. The League Cup provided one of their most memorable matches of last season, when the Magpies battled back from two goals down against Premier League Liverpool, only to be knocked out in extra-time. Notts last made the trip to Hillsborough in 2011, when they were beaten 2-1. With Mansfield also scheduled to be in Sheffield, the two games are likely to take place on different nights. The Stags have not taken on the Blades since 1989, back in the old Division Three, when they edged a 2-1 victory away from home. Details of the dates and kick-off times for all three games, as well as ticket information, will be announced in due course. Oh, and Forest face Tranmere away.
