Looks like the fat lady has finally finished singing!!!
Communique from the Murcian Federation..................
"🚨 Official communiqué 🚨| After the resignation of @lorcafcsad his Segunda B place, the @yeclano_deptvo will take his place and @cd_Algar will play in the Tercera Division this season."
Speaking to the press in Lorca tonight, the club manager Lucas García said it was a surprise to him. Seeing as how the deadline for registration has not yet passed!
The Federation has not announced promotions from the Primera or Segunda Autonomica which suggests there may be a possibility of a Lorca FC club rising from the ashes in the Preferente.
The RFEF National Federation (which regulates Segunda B) has also confirmed the resignation.
"🔴 Official | The @lorcafcsad renunciation of its place in segunda division B for the season 2018/19"
Keep watching.

Just to clarify that the club in trouble is Lorca FC and NOT Lorca Deportivo who Mazarrón will play in the first pre-season game on Saturday week.

It would seem that Lorca FC (as the senior club) led on the maintenance of the FRANCISCO ARTES CARRASCO stadium at Lorca. With them seemingly now 'in administration', it remains to be seen if Lorca Deportiva take it on or if they will play their home games at the Mundial 82 stadium.

Friday has come and gone and there was no Lorca FC registered in the Segunda. So it seems this saga is done and dusted. Apart from the potential ramifications on the Preferente.
One other club to have disappeared from the Tercera is FC Pinatar Arena which finished last season in sixth place. Their place has been 'bought' by La Unión CF who finished in 18th place and were relegated to the Preferente. The new 'phoenix' team will be called FC La Unión Atlético and will play in the Tercera at the old La Unión ground.
Yet more changes for the Fed. to sort out in the Preferente and the other autonomica divisions.

Wait just a cotton-pickin' minute.......................................
Lorca FC has just put out a Comunicado Oficial saying they are working to pay off all their debts and are considering a 'new' project to help them do so. A big problem for them if they do not play this season is that they would lose a 'parachute' payment given to relegated Segunda clubs.
I don't know what the rules are (I don't suppose many do) but they may look to get a place in the Tercera from one club that has already registered.
Keep watching.......................

I have no idea what's going on!Communique from the National Federation (RFEF) has just said that Lorca FC could not 'resign' from Segunda B as the deadline for doing so was June 30th! Here's a press article trying to explain it............ "The board of directors of the RFEF does not accept the resignation of Lorca to Second B"
They come out with a surprise. When several teams were competing for the Lorca place in Segunda B, it turns out that their resignation was presented late and, therefore, has not taken effect.
This was agreed on Monday by the Board of Directors of the RFEF, prior to the General Assembly tomorrow.
Therefore, unless certain circumstances concur that we will now comment, Lorca remains a Second B team.
In fact, on Monday the club issued a statement in which it denied that it has disappeared. In the statement made public today, four days after the Football Federation of the Region of Murcia (FFRM) reported the withdrawal of the team, Lorca FC has assured that there may be a future.
At the head of the institution has been during the last two seasons the Chinese businessman Xu Genbao, who first promoted to the League 1/2/3 and then descended.
It should be clarified that according to the General Rules of the RFEF, if a club waives its position, it is automatically enrolled in the lower category (Article 197.2), but in this case it would not apply to the Lorca because it is not accepted by the Federation of Murcia, which considers that already has the groups structured. In any case, this is now secondary because the RFEF has not accepted the resignation.
Faced with this complicated situation, the advisers of the Chinese businessman in Spain try to convince him that, with the help of LaLiga to the descent, of 1.2 million, they could reengage in the Second B one more year.
What would happen if the owner does not agree?
Well, July 31 arrives, and he does not pay the debt with the Federation, amounting to 300,000 euros, then there would be administrative decline and enter the scene again the other clubs that are considered better right to cover his place, applying in this case art. 194.
Now, the club that is finally made with that place must know that it has to pay off that debt of Lorca to be able to register in Segunda B.
As for the clubs with the best right to fill the vacancy, they are logically those from the Third Division, those from Murcia who have not achieved the promotion, in this case the Yeclano in the first place, but paying the debt of Lorca .
In summary, Lorca has two alternatives:
a) Convince the Chinese owner and continue in Segunda B with the help of LaLiga.
b) Wait until July 31, not pay the debt and be administratively descended

Incidentally, at least two other clubs had contested the promotion of Yeclano to Segunda B!
12 years in Spain, and I still don't understand how they get into these messes.

Today's the day - maybe!
The national federation are in a 40-ton truck steaming down the autovia! Yesterday, they published a circular on the clubs in the Tercera Divisions across the country and it had Lorca CF 'B' and Yeclano but no Algar.
You have to be really sorry for Yeclano who don't know if to pay Segunda 'B' or Tercera wages. And Algar will have a similar dilemma in the Preferente/Tercera.
And heaven knows what players are thinking at Lorca FC - if there are any.

"Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right, Here I am, stuck in the middle with a 40-ton truck rolling on......"
The national fed. has just 'published' the Fixture Lists for the four Segunda B groups with Lorca FC scheduled to open their campaign against Sevilla 'B' on 26th August.

Maybe....just maybe....tomorrow may be the day!
As I understand it, Lorca FC have to pay their debt to the national Fed. (RFEF) by 31st July to be able to play in the Segunda B.
That will then entitle them to receive the parachute payment due to relegation from the Segunda.
All of this needs to be settled for Mr Xu to complete a sale to someone. We know not who as the previous possible purchaser has dropped out!
This may also result in Lorca CF 'B' being reinstated in the Tercera and Yeclano also being left in the Tercera.
It seems a long time ago, but remember this meant the number of clubs for 2018/19 would be 21.
Now, how about a real 'googly'? You may also remember CD Algar received a communication that THEY would play in the Tercera (when it was thought Yeclano were being promoted). Given the possibility that may not now happen, Algar is threatening the Murcian Fed. with legal action! Could we see a Tercera Division of 22 clubs???

One 'confirmation' today!
CD Algar say they have been told by the Federation that they WILL play in the Tercera!
Mind you, they were told that once before!
We wait to see who else will be there.

Wednesday 1st August!
What do we 'know'?
Lorca FC did NOT pay the €400,000 debt to the National Federation so will NOT play in Segunda 'B'.
The Murcian Federation has reportedly said they WILL play in the Segunda - Autonomica!!!
That will mean Lorca FC 'B' will NOT play in the Tercera.
Yeclano have NOT been confirmed as a promotion to Segunda 'B' in place of Lorca FC. It is rumoured that place will go to a previous Segunda 'B' club which was relegated last year. (Maybe Yeclano thought twice about having to pay the Lorca debt?)
As reported yesterday, CD Algar has been promoted to the Tercera.
Leaving us with 21 clubs as previously thought but, effectively, with CD Algar instead of Lorca FC 'B'.
The probability is, therefore, that there will be FOUR relegations at the end of the season, unless there is a successful rise to Segunda 'B' through the play-offs.
And, of course, chaos will reign again if one of the remaining Segunda 'B' Murcian clubs gets relegated back to the Tercera!
The Tercera fixtures are expected any day.............................

OK.....a puff of white smoke from the National Federation. We now have ANOTHER deadline - Monday 6th August - 2 p.m. cdn1.sefutbol.com/sites/default/files/pdf/circulares/circular_9_2018_2019.pdfThey have published the above Circular confirming Lorca FC have defaulted on their debt and giving a week to clubs who want to apply for the Segunda B place. They also confirm the debt to be €482,851 and 58 centimos! According to Article 194, clubs will be considered in the following order: A. The Third division team of the same regional-level federation to which the team is descended by default. B. The team descended from second division "B" of the same regional-level federation autonomica to which the club is affiliated descended by default. C. The rest of third division teams. D) The rest of the teams descended from second division "B". Which, you can see, is as clear as mud! Presumably, point 'A' applies to ANY Murcian Tercera team from last season! And point'B' would bring Lorca Deportiva into the frame.

Friday 3rd.
It seems a deal may have been done. It's reported that Mr Xu has sold Lorca FC to an anonymous group of 'investors' with a lawyer named Roberto Torres.
They have apparently agreed to pay off the debt. It now just remains for the national Federation to accept the new owners. We probably won't hear anything until Monday.
This would apparently reinstate Lorca FC in Segunda B. Assuming that Lorca FC 'B' do not rise from these ashes, that will leave the Tercera with the 21 teams.
