FOREST/REAL MADRID LINK
Rumours abound regarding Aitor Karanka leaving Nottingham Forest.
The press is awash with the story about a potential new role for Aitor Karanka.
Strong suggestions that he might return to Real Madrid as assistant to his old pal Jose Mourinho.

That Uber may still be needed.
When was the last time anyone (other than Barca!) scored FOUR against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu?
Lots apparently!:
Record League defeat: 1–8 against Espanyol (during the 1929–1930 La Liga).
Record Cup defeat: 0–6 against Valencia (during the 1998–99 Copa del Rey).
Record European defeat:
0–5 against 1. FC Kaiserslautern (during the 1981–82 UEFA Cup).
0–5 against Milan (during the 1988–89 European Cup).
Record home defeat: 0–6 against Athletic Club (during the 1930–1931 La Liga).

FINAL SCORE:
REAL MADRID 1-4 AJAX (Agg. 3-5)
Ramos made the right decision to fake the yellow card to miss this game. Nacho tried the same thing tonight in the 88th minute - red card so he'll miss the quarters!
Solari will possibly be gone by the weekend. But I'm not sure anyone else could put a competitive team together now. They lost Bale, Vasquez and Vinicius to injuries and Marca reckon there will be a major clear out in the summer.
So, having lost out on THREE competitions in a week, this game ended with the few remaining Madrid supporters calling for the head of El Presidente Florentino.

A BOLT OUT OF THE BLUE? NOT
Santiago Solari has been sacked as manager of Real Madrid.
The Argentine was ushered in to replace Julen Lopetegui back in November after previously taking charge of Los Blancos' Castilla side.
Jose Mourinho is the heavy favourite to be re-instated in the role after taking charge of Los Blancos between 2010 and 2013.
Real's 4-1 win away at Real Valladolid on Sunday was not enough to keep Solari in the job, with the club enduring a disastrous run of results prior.
Two defeats to Barcelona and one to Ajax - all at the Bernabeu - eliminated Real from both the Copa del Rey and the Champions League.
It also effectively ended pursuit of Barca at the top of the La Liga table, with Los Blancos 12 points behind their eternal rivals

Not quite yet...............................
"Madrid 03/11/2019 14:06 The future of Solari is more in the air than ever. Nobody in Madrid at this time ensures the continuity of the Argentine," (AS Sport)
It seems Perez can't even get this right!

It would seem Senor Zidane has returned. I was hoping the big Spanish news story regarding managers going and replacements would be at the Mendez Mendez but alas we put up with Mr Motivator for a bit longer

Bale might make the Mazarron bench....... He's well used to benches! Apart from him (and maybe Isco), there's not much value in that squad now. So where is Perez going to get megabucks for his next group of galacticos? A clasico 'poisoned chalice' for Zidane, I fear!
